A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.1Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds—
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;3He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases,
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;4who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion,
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.5who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.6The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.7He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.8The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.9He will not always accuse us, nor harbor His anger forever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.10He has not dealt with us according to our sins or repaid us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.11For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving devotion for those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.12As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.13As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.14For He knows our frame; He is mindful that we are dust.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.15As for man, his days are like grass—he blooms like a flower of the field;
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.16when the wind passes over, it vanishes, and its place remembers it no more.
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;17But from everlasting to everlasting the loving devotion of the LORD extends to those who fear Him, and His righteousness to their children’s children—
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.18to those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts.
The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.19The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.20Bless the LORD, all His angels mighty in strength who carry out His word, who hearken to the voice of His command.
Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.21Bless the LORD, all His hosts, you servants who do His will.
Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.22Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul!
