King James BibleNew Living Translation
And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:1Next Bezalel made the Ark of acacia wood—a sacred chest 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high.
And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.2He overlaid it inside and outside with pure gold, and he ran a molding of gold all around it.
And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.3He cast four gold rings and attached them to its four feet, two rings on each side.
And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.4Then he made poles from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.
And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.5He inserted the poles into the rings at the sides of the Ark to carry it.
And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.6Then he made the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—from pure gold. It was 45 inches long and 27 inches wide.
And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;7He made two cherubim from hammered gold and placed them on the two ends of the atonement cover.
One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.8He molded the cherubim on each end of the atonement cover, making it all of one piece of gold.
And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.9The cherubim faced each other and looked down on the atonement cover. With their wings spread above it, they protected it. Building the Table
And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:10Then Bezalel made the table of acacia wood, 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high.
And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.11He overlaid it with pure gold and ran a gold molding around the edge.
Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.12He decorated it with a 3-inch border all around, and he ran a gold molding along the border.
And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.13Then he cast four gold rings for the table and attached them at the four corners next to the four legs.
Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.14The rings were attached near the border to hold the poles that were used to carry the table.
And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.15He made these poles from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.
And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.16Then he made special containers of pure gold for the table—bowls, ladles, jars, and pitchers—to be used in pouring out liquid offerings. Building the Lampstand
And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:17Then Bezalel made the lampstand of pure, hammered gold. He made the entire lampstand and its decorations of one piece—the base, center stem, lamp cups, buds, and petals.
And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:18The lampstand had six branches going out from the center stem, three on each side.
Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.19Each of the six branches had three lamp cups shaped like almond blossoms, complete with buds and petals.
And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:20The center stem of the lampstand was crafted with four lamp cups shaped like almond blossoms, complete with buds and petals.
And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.21There was an almond bud beneath each pair of branches where the six branches extended from the center stem, all made of one piece.
Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.22The almond buds and branches were all of one piece with the center stem, and they were hammered from pure gold.
And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.23He also made seven lamps for the lampstand, lamp snuffers, and trays, all of pure gold.
Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.24The entire lampstand, along with its accessories, was made from 75 pounds of pure gold. Building the Incense Altar
And he made the incense altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.25Then Bezalel made the incense altar of acacia wood. It was 18 inches square and 36 inches high, with horns at the corners carved from the same piece of wood as the altar itself.
And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.26He overlaid the top, sides, and horns of the altar with pure gold, and he ran a gold molding around the entire altar.
And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.27He made two gold rings and attached them on opposite sides of the altar below the gold molding to hold the carrying poles.
And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.28He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.
And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.29Then he made the sacred anointing oil and the fragrant incense, using the techniques of a skilled incense maker.
