| 2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Your power And come to save us! | 2before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us. |
| 3O God, restore us And cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved. | 3Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. |
| 4O LORD God of hosts, How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people? | 4How long, LORD God Almighty, will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people? |
| 5You have fed them with the bread of tears, And You have made them to drink tears in large measure. | 5You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful. |
| 6You make us an object of contention to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh among themselves. | 6You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us. |

| 10The mountains were covered with its shadow, And the cedars of God with its boughs. | 10The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches. |
| 11It was sending out its branches to the sea And its shoots to the River. | 11Its branches reached as far as the Sea, its shoots as far as the River. |
| 12Why have You broken down its hedges, So that all who pass that way pick its fruit? | 12Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes? |
| 13A boar from the forest eats it away And whatever moves in the field feeds on it. | 13Boars from the forest ravage it, and insects from the fields feed on it. |
| 14O God of hosts, turn again now, we beseech You; Look down from heaven and see, and take care of this vine, | 14Return to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine, |
| 15Even the shoot which Your right hand has planted, And on the son whom You have strengthened for Yourself. | 15the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself. |
| 16It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. | 16Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish. |
| 17Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself. | 17Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself. |
