| 1A Song, a Psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. | 1My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart! |
| 2Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn! | 2Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. |
| 3I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations. | 3I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. |
| 4For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies. | 4For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. |

| 10Who will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom? | 10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom? |
| 11Have not You Yourself, O God, rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, O God? | 11Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies? |
| 12Oh give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain. | 12Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. |
| 13Through God we will do valiantly, And it is He who shall tread down our adversaries. | 13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. |
