"The tabernacle itself you are to make with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet; you are to make them with cherubim that are the work of an artistic designer.1“You are to construct the tabernacle itself with ten curtains of finely spun linen, each with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and cherubim skillfully worked into them.
The length of each curtain is to be forty-two feet, and the width of each curtain is to be six feet--the same size for each of the curtains.2Each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide—all curtains the same size.
Five curtains are to be joined, one to another, and the other five curtains are to be joined, one to another.3Five of the curtains are to be joined together, and the other five joined as well.
You are to make loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and in the same way you are to make loops in the outer edge of the end curtain in the second set.4Make loops of blue material on the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and do the same for the end curtain in the second set.
You are to make fifty loops on the one curtain, and you are to make fifty loops on the end curtain which is on the second set, so that the loops are opposite one to another.5Make fifty loops on one curtain and fifty loops on the end curtain of the second set, so that the loops line up opposite one another.
You are to make fifty gold clasps and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle is a unit. 6Make fifty gold clasps as well, and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle will be a unit.
"You are to make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you are to make eleven curtains.7You are to make curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle—eleven curtains in all.
The length of each curtain is to be forty-five feet, and the width of each curtain is to be six feet--the same size for the eleven curtains.8Each of the eleven curtains is to be the same size—thirty cubits long and four cubits wide.
You are to join five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves. You are to double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.9Join five of the curtains into one set and the other six into another. Then fold the sixth curtain over double at the front of the tent.
You are to make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in one set and fifty loops along the edge of the curtain that joins the second set.10Make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and fifty loops along the edge of the corresponding curtain in the second set.
You are to make fifty bronze clasps and put the clasps into the loops and join the tent together so that it is a unit.11Make fifty bronze clasps and put them through the loops to join the tent together as a unit.
Now the part that remains of the curtains of the tent--the half curtain that remains will hang over at the back of the tabernacle.12As for the overlap that remains of the tent curtains, the half curtain that is left over shall hang down over the back of the tabernacle.
The foot and a half on the one side and the foot and a half on the other side of what remains in the length of the curtains of the tent will hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on one side and the other side, to cover it. 13And the tent curtains will be a cubit longer on either side, and the excess will hang over the sides of the tabernacle to cover it.
"You are to make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red and over that a covering of fine leather. 14Also make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of fine leather.
"You are to make the frames for the tabernacle out of acacia wood as uprights.15You are to construct upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle.
Each frame is to be fifteen feet long, and each frame is to be two feet three inches wide,16Each frame is to be ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
with two projections per frame parallel one to another. You are to make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.17Two tenons must be connected to each other for each frame. Make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.
So you are to make the frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side,18Construct twenty frames for the south side of the tabernacle,
and you are to make forty silver bases to go under the twenty frames--two bases under the first frame for its two projections, and likewise two bases under the next frame for its two projections;19with forty silver bases under the twenty frames—two bases for each frame, one under each tenon.
and for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, twenty frames,20For the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, make twenty frames
and their forty silver bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.21and forty silver bases—two bases under each frame.
And for the back of the tabernacle on the west you will make six frames.22Make six frames for the rear of the tabernacle, the west side,
You are to make two frames for the corners of the tabernacle on the back.23and two frames for the two back corners of the tabernacle,
At the two corners they must be doubled at the lower end and finished together at the top in one ring. So it will be for both.24coupled together from bottom to top and fitted into a single ring. These will serve as the two corners.
So there are to be eight frames and their silver bases, sixteen bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame. 25So there are to be eight frames and sixteen silver bases—two under each frame.
"You are to make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,26You are also to make five crossbars of acacia wood for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,
and five bars for the frames on the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames on the back of the tabernacle on the west.27five for those on the other side, and five for those on the rear side of the tabernacle, to the west.
The middle bar in the center of the frames will reach from end to end.28The central crossbar in the middle of the frames shall extend from one end to the other.
You are to overlay the frames with gold and make their rings of gold to provide places for the bars, and you are to overlay the bars with gold.29Overlay the frames with gold and make gold rings to hold the crossbars. Also overlay the crossbars with gold.
You are to set up the tabernacle according to the plan that you were shown on the mountain. 30So you are to set up the tabernacle according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
"You are to make a special curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen; it is to be made with cherubim, the work of an artistic designer.31Make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen, with cherubim skillfully worked into it.
You are to hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold, set in four silver bases.32Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood, overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.
You are to hang this curtain under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony in there behind the curtain. The curtain will make a division for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.33And hang the veil from the clasps and place the ark of the Testimony behind the veil. So the veil will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.
You are to put the atonement lid on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.34Put the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.
You are to put the table outside the curtain and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle, opposite the table, and you are to place the table on the north side. 35And place the table outside the veil on the north side of the tabernacle, and put the lampstand opposite the table, on the south side.
"You are to make a hanging for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer.36For the entrance to the tent, you are to make a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen.
You are to make for the hanging five posts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, and their hooks will be gold, and you are to cast five bronze bases for them. 37Make five posts of acacia wood for the curtain, overlay them with gold hooks, and cast five bronze bases for them.
