NET Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleInternational Standard Version
For the music director; according to the alumoth-labben style; a psalm of David. I will thank the LORD with all my heart! I will tell about all your amazing deeds! 1I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, I will declare all your wonderful deeds.
I will be happy and rejoice in you! I will sing praises to you, O sovereign One! 2I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praises to your name, Most High!
When my enemies turn back, they trip and are defeated before you. 3When my enemies turn back, they will stumble and perish before you.
For you defended my just cause; from your throne you pronounced a just decision. 4For you have brought about justice for me and my cause; you sit on the throne judging righteously.
You terrified the nations with your battle cry; you destroyed the wicked; you permanently wiped out all memory of them. 5You rebuked the nations, you destroyed the wicked, you wiped out their name forever and ever.
The enemy's cities have been reduced to permanent ruins; you destroyed their cities; all memory of the enemies has perished. 6The enemy has perished, reduced to ruins forever. You uprooted their cities, the very memory of them vanished.
But the LORD rules forever; he reigns in a just manner. 7But the LORD sits on his throne forever; his throne is established for judgment.
He judges the world fairly; he makes just legal decisions for the nations. 8He will judge the world righteously and make just decisions for the people.
Consequently the LORD provides safety for the oppressed; he provides safety in times of trouble. 9The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of distress.
Your loyal followers trust in you, for you, LORD, do not abandon those who seek your help. 10Those who know your name will trust you, for you have not forsaken those who seek you, LORD.
Sing praises to the LORD, who rules in Zion! Tell the nations what he has done! 11Sing praises to the LORD who dwells in Zion; declare his mighty deeds among the peoples.
For the one who takes revenge against murderers took notice of the oppressed; he did not overlook their cry for help 12As an avenger of blood, he remembers them; he has not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
when they prayed: "Have mercy on me, LORD! See how I am oppressed by those who hate me, O one who can snatch me away from the gates of death! 13Be gracious to me, LORD, take note of my affliction, because of those who hate me. You snatch me away from the gates of death,
Then I will tell about all your praiseworthy acts; in the gates of Daughter Zion I will rejoice because of your deliverance." 14so I may declare everything for which you should be praised in the gates of the daughter of Zion, so I will rejoice in your deliverance.
The nations fell into the pit they had made; their feet were caught in the net they had hidden. 15The nations have sunk down into the pit they made, their feet are ensnared in the trap they set.
The LORD revealed himself; he accomplished justice; the wicked were ensnared by their own actions. (Higgaion. Selah) 16The LORD has made himself known, executing judgment. The wicked are ensnared by what their hands have made. Interlude
The wicked are turned back and sent to Sheol; this is the destiny of all the nations that ignore God, 17The wicked will turn back to where the dead are — all the nations that have forgotten God.
for the needy are not permanently ignored, the hopes of the oppressed are not forever dashed. 18For he will not always overlook the plight of the poor, nor will the hope of the afflicted perish forever.
Rise up, LORD! Don't let men be defiant! May the nations be judged in your presence! 19Rise up, LORD, do not let man prevail! The nations will be judged in your presence.
Terrify them, LORD! Let the nations know they are mere mortals! (Selah) 20Make them afraid, LORD, Let the nations know that they are only human. Interlude
