Ezekiel 41
NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
Then he brought me to the outer sanctuary, and measured the jambs; the jambs were 10 1/2 feet wide on each side.1Then he brought me to the nave and measured the side pillars; six cubits wide on each side was the width of the side pillar.
The width of the entrance was 17 1/2 feet, and the sides of the entrance were 8 3/4 feet on each side. He measured the length of the outer sanctuary as 70 feet, and its width as 35 feet. 2The width of the entrance was ten cubits and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on each side. And he measured the length of the nave, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.
Then he went into the inner sanctuary and measured the jambs of the entrance as 3 1/2 feet, the entrance as 10 1/2 feet, and the width of the entrance as 12 feet3Then he went inside and measured each side pillar of the doorway, two cubits, and the doorway, six cubits high; and the width of the doorway, seven cubits.
Then he measured its length as 35 feet, and its width as 35 feet, before the outer sanctuary. He said to me, "This is the most holy place." 4He measured its length, twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the nave; and he said to me, "This is the most holy place."
Then he measured the wall of the temple as 10 1/2 feet, and the width of the side chambers as 7 feet, all around the temple.5Then he measured the wall of the temple, six cubits; and the width of the side chambers, four cubits, all around about the house on every side.
The side chambers were in three stories, one above the other, thirty in each story. There were offsets in the wall all around to serve as supports for the side chambers, so that the supports were not in the wall of the temple.6The side chambers were in three stories, one above another, and thirty in each story; and the side chambers extended to the wall which stood on their inward side all around, that they might be fastened, and not be fastened into the wall of the temple itself.
The side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story; for the structure surrounding the temple went up story by story all around the temple. For this reason the width of the temple increased as it went up, and one went up from the lowest story to the highest by the way of the middle story. 7The side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story. Because the structure surrounding the temple went upward by stages on all sides of the temple, therefore the width of the temple increased as it went higher; and thus one went up from the lowest story to the highest by way of the second story.
I saw that the temple had a raised platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full measuring stick of 10 1/2 feet high.8I saw also that the house had a raised platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full rod of six long cubits in height.
The width of the outer wall of the side chambers was 8 3/4 feet, and the open area between the side chambers of the temple9The thickness of the outer wall of the side chambers was five cubits. But the free space between the side chambers belonging to the temple
and the chambers of the court was 35 feet in width all around the temple on every side.10and the outer chambers was twenty cubits in width all around the temple on every side.
There were entrances from the side chambers toward the open area, one entrance toward the north, and another entrance toward the south; the width of the open area was 8 3/4 feet all around. 11The doorways of the side chambers toward the free space consisted of one doorway toward the north and another doorway toward the south; and the width of the free space was five cubits all around.
The building that was facing the temple courtyard at the west side was 122 1/2 feet wide; the wall of the building was 8 3/4 feet all around, and its length 157 1/2 feet. 12The building that was in front of the separate area at the side toward the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length was ninety cubits.
Then he measured the temple as 175 feet long, the courtyard of the temple and the building and its walls as 175 feet long,13Then he measured the temple, a hundred cubits long; the separate area with the building and its walls were also a hundred cubits long.
and also the width of the front of the temple and the courtyard on the east as 175 feet. 14Also the width of the front of the temple and that of the separate areas along the east side totaled a hundred cubits.
Then he measured the length of the building facing the courtyard at the rear of the temple, with its galleries on either side as 175 feet. The interior of the outer sanctuary and the porch of the court,15He measured the length of the building along the front of the separate area behind it, with a gallery on each side, a hundred cubits; he also measured the inner nave and the porches of the court.
as well as the thresholds, narrow windows and galleries all around on three sides facing the threshold were paneled with wood all around, from the ground up to the windows (now the windows were covered),16The thresholds, the latticed windows and the galleries round about their three stories, opposite the threshold, were paneled with wood all around, and from the ground to the windows (but the windows were covered),
to the space above the entrance, to the inner room, and on the outside, and on all the walls in the inner room and outside, by measurement.17over the entrance, and to the inner house, and on the outside, and on all the wall all around inside and outside, by measurement.
It was made with cherubim and decorative palm trees, with a palm tree between each cherub. Each cherub had two faces:18It was carved with cherubim and palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces,
a human face toward the palm tree on one side and a lion's face toward the palm tree on the other side. They were carved on the whole temple all around;19a man's face toward the palm tree on one side and a young lion's face toward the palm tree on the other side; they were carved on all the house all around.
from the ground to the area above the entrance, cherubim and decorative palm trees were carved on the wall of the outer sanctuary.20From the ground to above the entrance cherubim and palm trees were carved, as well as on the wall of the nave.
The doorposts of the outer sanctuary were square. In front of the sanctuary one doorpost looked just like the other.21The doorposts of the nave were square; as for the front of the sanctuary, the appearance of one doorpost was like that of the other.
The altar was of wood, 5 feet high, with its length 3 1/2 feet; its corners, its length, and its walls were of wood. He said to me, "This is the table that is before the LORD."22The altar was of wood, three cubits high and its length two cubits; its corners, its base and its sides were of wood. And he said to me, "This is the table that is before the LORD."
The outer sanctuary and the inner sanctuary each had a double door.23The nave and the sanctuary each had a double door.
Each of the doors had two leaves, two swinging leaves; two leaves for one door and two leaves for the other.24Each of the doors had two leaves, two swinging leaves; two leaves for one door and two leaves for the other.
On the doors of the outer sanctuary were carved cherubim and palm trees, like those carved on the walls, and there was a canopy of wood on the front of the outside porch.25Also there were carved on them, on the doors of the nave, cherubim and palm trees like those carved on the walls; and there was a threshold of wood on the front of the porch outside.
There were narrow windows and decorative palm trees on either side of the side walls of the porch; this is what the side chambers of the temple and the canopies were like. 26There were latticed windows and palm trees on one side and on the other, on the sides of the porch; thus were the side chambers of the house and the thresholds.
