Psalm 92
NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
A psalm; a song for the Sabbath day. It is fitting to thank the LORD, and to sing praises to your name, O sovereign One! 1A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day. It is good to give thanks to the LORD And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
It is fitting to proclaim your loyal love in the morning, and your faithfulness during the night, 2To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night,
to the accompaniment of a ten-stringed instrument and a lyre, to the accompaniment of the meditative tone of the harp. 3With the ten-stringed lute and with the harp, With resounding music upon the lyre.
For you, O LORD, have made me happy by your work. I will sing for joy because of what you have done. 4For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.
How great are your works, O LORD! Your plans are very intricate! 5How great are Your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep.
The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this. 6A senseless man has no knowledge, Nor does a stupid man understand this:
When the wicked sprout up like grass, and all the evildoers glisten, it is so that they may be annihilated. 7That when the wicked sprouted up like grass And all who did iniquity flourished, It was only that they might be destroyed forevermore.
But you, O LORD, reign forever! 8But You, O LORD, are on high forever.
Indeed, look at your enemies, O LORD! Indeed, look at how your enemies perish! All the evildoers are scattered! 9For, behold, Your enemies, O LORD, For, behold, Your enemies will perish; All who do iniquity will be scattered.
You exalt my horn like that of a wild ox. I am covered with fresh oil. 10But You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.
I gloat in triumph over those who tried to ambush me; I hear the defeated cries of the evil foes who attacked me. 11And my eye has looked exultantly upon my foes, My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.
The godly grow like a palm tree; they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon. 12The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Planted in the LORD's house, they grow in the courts of our God. 13Planted in the house of the LORD, They will flourish in the courts of our God.
They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves. 14They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green,
So they proclaim that the LORD, my protector, is just and never unfair. 15To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
