Psalm 92
NET Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleEnglish Standard Version
A psalm; a song for the Sabbath day. It is fitting to thank the LORD, and to sing praises to your name, O sovereign One! 1It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
It is fitting to proclaim your loyal love in the morning, and your faithfulness during the night, 2to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,
to the accompaniment of a ten-stringed instrument and a lyre, to the accompaniment of the meditative tone of the harp. 3to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.
For you, O LORD, have made me happy by your work. I will sing for joy because of what you have done. 4For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
How great are your works, O LORD! Your plans are very intricate! 5How great are your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep!
The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this. 6The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this:
When the wicked sprout up like grass, and all the evildoers glisten, it is so that they may be annihilated. 7that though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever;
But you, O LORD, reign forever! 8but you, O LORD, are on high forever.
Indeed, look at your enemies, O LORD! Indeed, look at how your enemies perish! All the evildoers are scattered! 9For behold, your enemies, O LORD, for behold, your enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered.
You exalt my horn like that of a wild ox. I am covered with fresh oil. 10But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil.
I gloat in triumph over those who tried to ambush me; I hear the defeated cries of the evil foes who attacked me. 11My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
The godly grow like a palm tree; they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon. 12The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Planted in the LORD's house, they grow in the courts of our God. 13They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God.
They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves. 14They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green,
So they proclaim that the LORD, my protector, is just and never unfair. 15to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
