Psalm 87
NET Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew International Version
1Written by the Korahites; a psalm, a song. The LORD's city is in the holy hills. 1Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. He has founded his city on the holy mountain.
2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. 2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.
3People say wonderful things about you, O city of God. (Selah) 3Glorious things are said of you, city of God:
4I mention Rahab and Babylon to my followers. Here are Philistia and Tyre, along with Ethiopia. It is said of them, "This one was born there." 4"I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me-- Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush -- and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.'"
5But it is said of Zion's residents, "Each one of these was born in her, and the sovereign One makes her secure." 5Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her."
6The LORD writes in the census book of the nations, "This one was born there." (Selah) 6The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion."
7As for the singers, as well as the pipers--all of them sing within your walls. 7As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you."
