Psalm 86
NET Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew International Version
A prayer of David. Listen O LORD! Answer me! For I am oppressed and needy. 1A prayer of David. Hear me, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
Protect me, for I am loyal! O my God, deliver your servant, who trusts in you! 2Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God;
Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I cry out to you all day long! 3have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long.
Make your servant glad, for to you, O Lord, I pray! 4Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you.
Certainly O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, and show great faithfulness to all who cry out to you. 5You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.
O LORD, hear my prayer! Pay attention to my plea for mercy! 6Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy.
In my time of trouble I cry out to you, for you will answer me. 7When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.
None can compare to you among the gods, O Lord! Your exploits are incomparable! 8Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations, whom you created, will come and worship you, O Lord. They will honor your name. 9All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.
For you are great and do amazing things. You alone are God. 10For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.
O LORD, teach me how you want me to live! Then I will obey your commands. Make me wholeheartedly committed to you! 11Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
O Lord, my God, I will give you thanks with my whole heart! I will honor your name continually! 12I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.
For you will extend your great loyal love to me, and will deliver my life from the depths of Sheol. 13For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.
O God, arrogant men attack me; a gang of ruthless men, who do not respect you, seek my life. 14Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me-- they have no regard for you.
But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient and demonstrate great loyal love and faithfulness. 15But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Turn toward me and have mercy on me! Give your servant your strength! Deliver your slave! 16Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your strength in behalf of your servant; save me, because I serve you just as my mother did.
Show me evidence of your favor! Then those who hate me will see it and be ashamed, for you, O LORD, will help me and comfort me. 17Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
