The LORD said to Moses,1The LORD instructed Moses:
"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'After you enter the land I am giving you as a home2"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land I am giving you to settle in,
and you present to the LORD food offerings from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD--whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings--3and you make a fire offering to the LORD from the herd or flock--either a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow, or as a freewill offering, or at your appointed festivals--to produce a pleasing aroma for the LORD,
then the person who brings an offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of olive oil.4the one presenting his offering to the LORD is also to present a grain offering of two quarts of fine flour mixed with a quart of oil.
With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.5Prepare a quart of wine as a drink offering with the burnt offering or sacrifice of each lamb.
"'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a third of a hin of olive oil,6"If you prepare a grain offering with a ram, it is to be four quarts of fine flour mixed with a third of a gallon of oil.
and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.7Also present a third of a gallon of wine for a drink offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
"'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD,8"If you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow, or as a fellowship offering to the LORD,
bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil,9a grain offering of six quarts of fine flour mixed with two quarts of oil is to be presented with the bull.
and also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. This will be a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.10Also present two quarts of wine as a drink offering. It is a fire offering of pleasing aroma to the LORD.
Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner.11This is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb, or goat.
Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare.12This is how you are to prepare each of them, no matter how many.
"'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when they present a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.13"Every Israelite is to prepare these things in this way when he presents a fire offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
For the generations to come, whenever a foreigner or anyone else living among you presents a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, they must do exactly as you do.14When an alien resides with you or someone else is among you and wants to prepare a fire offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, he is to do exactly as you do throughout your generations.
The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the LORD:15The assembly is to have the same statute for both you and the resident alien as a permanent statute throughout your generations. You and the alien will be alike before the LORD.
The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you.'"16The same law and the same ordinance will apply to both you and the alien who resides with you."
The LORD said to Moses,17The LORD instructed Moses:
"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you18"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: After you enter the land where I am bringing you,
and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD.19you are to offer a contribution to the LORD when you eat from the food of the land.
Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.20You are to offer a loaf from your first batch of dough as a contribution; offer it just like a contribution from the threshing floor.
Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal.21Throughout your generations, you are to give the LORD a contribution from the first batch of your dough.
"'Now if you as a community unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses--22"When you sin unintentionally and do not obey all these commands that the LORD spoke to Moses--
any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come--23all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses, from the day the LORD issued the commands and onward throughout your generations--
and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.24and if it was done unintentionally without the community's awareness, the entire community is to prepare one young bull for a burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and drink offering according to the regulation, and one male goat as a sin offering.
The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have presented to the LORD for their wrong a food offering and a sin offering.25The priest will then make atonement for the entire Israelite community so that they may be forgiven, for the sin was unintentional. They are to bring their offering, one made by fire to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD for their unintentional sin.
The whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.26The entire Israelite community and the alien who resides among them will be forgiven, since it happened to all the people unintentionally.
"'But if just one person sins unintentionally, that person must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.27"If one person sins unintentionally, he is to present a year-old female goat as a sin offering.
The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made, that person will be forgiven.28The priest will then make atonement before the LORD on behalf of the person who acts in error sinning unintentionally, and when he makes atonement for him, he will be forgiven.
One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.29You are to have the same law for the person who acts in error, whether he is an Israelite or an alien who resides among you.
"'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or foreigner, blasphemes the LORD and must be cut off from the people of Israel.30"But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or resident alien, blasphemes the LORD. That person is to be cut off from his people.
Because they have despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.'"31He will certainly be cut off, because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his command; his guilt remains on him."
While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.32While the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,33Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses, Aaron, and the entire community.
and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.34They placed him in custody because it had not been decided what should be done to him.
Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp."35Then the LORD told Moses, "The man is to be put to death. The entire community is to stone him outside the camp."
So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.36So the entire community brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
The LORD said to Moses,37The LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.38"Speak to the Israelites and tell them that throughout their generations they are to make tassels for the corners of their garments, and put a blue cord on the tassel at each corner.
You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.39These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the LORD's commands and obey them and not prostitute yourselves by following your own heart and your own eyes.
Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.40This way you will remember and obey all my commands and be holy to your God.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.'"41I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the LORD your God."
