New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”1This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool."
The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!2The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over your surrounding enemies.
Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.3Your people will volunteer on your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you.
The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”4The LORD has sworn an oath and will not take it back: "You are a priest forever according to the pattern of Melchizedek."
The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.5The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his anger.
He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.6He will judge the nations, heaping up corpses; he will crush leaders over the entire world.
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.7He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore, he will lift up his head.
