NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
1A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”1Of David. A psalm. The LORD says to my lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."
2The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!2The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of your enemies!"
3Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.3Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning's womb.
4The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”4The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."
5The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.5The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
6He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.6He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
7He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.7He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.
