New King James VersionEnglish Standard Version
A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”1The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”
The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!2The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!
Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.3Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.
The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”4The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.5The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.6He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth.
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.7He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head.
