New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me.1LORD, how my foes increase! There are many who attack me.
Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah2Many say about me, "There is no help for him in God." Selah
But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.3But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
I cried to the LORD with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah4I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah
I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.5I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the LORD sustains me.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.6I will not be afraid of thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side.
Arise, O LORD; Save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.7Rise up, LORD! Save me, my God! You strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah8Salvation belongs to the LORD; may your blessing be on your people. Selah
