To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!1For the choir director. A song. A psalm. Shout joyfully to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.2Sing about the glory of His name; make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.3Say to God, "How awe-inspiring are Your works! Your enemies will cringe before You because of Your great strength.
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah4All the earth will worship You and sing praise to You. They will sing praise to Your name." Selah
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.5Come and see the wonders of God; His acts for humanity are awe-inspiring.
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.6He turned the sea into dry land, and they crossed the river on foot. There we rejoiced in Him.
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7He rules forever by His might; He keeps His eye on the nations. The rebellious should not exalt themselves. Selah
Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,8Praise our God, you peoples; let the sound of His praise be heard.
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved.9He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip.
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.10For You, God, tested us; You refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.11You lured us into a trap; You placed burdens on our backs.
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.12You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us out to abundance.
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,13I will enter Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows
Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.14that my lips promised and my mouth spoke during my distress.
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah15I will offer You fattened sheep as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will sacrifice oxen with goats. Selah
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.16Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me.
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.17I cried out to Him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.18If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.19However, God has listened; He has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!20May God be praised! He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me.
