Psalm 66
NKJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionEnglish Standard Version
To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!1Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.2sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah4All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.5Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.6He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him,
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,8Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved.9who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.10For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.
You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.11You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs;
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.12you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,13I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you,
Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.14that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.16Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.17I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.18If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.19But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!20Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!
