New King James VersionInternational Standard Version
“And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,1"This is what you are to do to them in order to consecrate them to serve me as priests: Take a young bull, two rams without blemish,
and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil (you shall make them of wheat flour).2unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, which you are to make from fine wheat flour.
You shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams.3You are to put them in one basket and bring them in the basket along with the bull and the two rams.
“And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall wash them with water.4You are to bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting, and wash them with water.
Then you shall take the garments, put the tunic on Aaron, and the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the intricately woven band of the ephod.5Take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breast piece, and then gird him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
You shall put the turban on his head, and put the holy crown on the turban.6Then put the turban on his head, and place the holy crown on the turban.
And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.7You are to take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.
Then you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them.8Then you are to bring his sons and clothe them with tunics.
And you shall gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and put the hats on them. The priesthood shall be theirs for a perpetual statute. So you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.9You are to gird Aaron and his sons with sashes and tie headdresses on them. The priesthood is to belong to them by perpetual ordinance, and you are to ordain Aaron and his sons.
“You shall also have the bull brought before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the bull.10"You are to bring the bull in front of the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.
Then you shall kill the bull before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.11Then you are to slaughter the bull in the LORD's presence at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.
You shall take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the altar.12Take some of the blood of the bull, put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar.13You are to take all the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them and send them up in smoke on the altar.
But the flesh of the bull, with its skin and its offal, you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.14You are to burn the flesh of the bull, its hide, and its refuse with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.
“You shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram;15"You are to take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
and you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar.16Then you are to slaughter the ram, take its blood, and scatter it around the altar.
Then you shall cut the ram in pieces, wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and with its head.17You are to cut the ram into pieces, wash its entrails and legs, put them on the altar along with the pieces and its head,
And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.18and send up the whole ram in smoke on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it's a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.
“You shall also take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram.19"You are to take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.
Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar.20You are to slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear, the lobe of his sons' right ears, the thumbs of their right hands, and the big toes of their right feet. Then you are to scatter the rest of the blood around the altar.
And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and on his garments, on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him; and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.21You are to take some of the blood which is on the altar, along with some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. He is to be consecrated with his garments, along with his sons and their garments
“Also you shall take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, the right thigh (for it is a ram of consecration),22"You are to take the fat from the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, the right thigh (for it's a ram of ordination),
one loaf of bread, one cake made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD;23and one loaf of bread, one cake of bread mixed with oil, and one wafer out of the basket of unleavened bread that is in the LORD's presence.
and you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.24You are to put all of these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and present them as a wave offering in the LORD's presence.
You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the LORD. It is an offering made by fire to the LORD.25Then you are to take them from their hands and send them up in smoke on the altar on top of the burnt offering for a soothing aroma in the LORD's presence. It is an offering by fire to the LORD.
“Then you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be your portion.26"You are to take the breast of the ram of Aaron's ordination, and present it as a wave offering in the LORD's presence, and it is to be your portion.
And from the ram of the consecration you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the heave offering which is raised, of that which is for Aaron and of that which is for his sons.27You are to consecrate the portion of the ram of ordination that belongs to Aaron and his sons: the breast of the wave offering that was waved and the thigh of the presented offering that was presented.
It shall be from the children of Israel for Aaron and his sons by a statute forever. For it is a heave offering; it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, that is, their heave offering to the LORD.28These offerings from the Israelis are to be a perpetual ordinance for Aaron and his sons. They are presented offerings, and they are to be presented offerings from the Israelis out of their peace offerings. They are presented offerings to the LORD.
“And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them.29"The holy garments of Aaron are to be for his sons after him so that they may be anointed in them and ordained in them.
That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the holy place.30Aaron's son, who is priest in his place, is to wear them for seven days when he comes into the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place.
“And you shall take the ram of the consecration and boil its flesh in the holy place.31"You are to take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a Holy Place.
Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.32Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram along with the bread that is in the basket at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.
They shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them; but an outsider shall not eat them, because they are holy.33They shall eat these things by which atonement was made at their ordination to consecrate them, but an unqualified person is not to eat because these things are holy.
And if any of the flesh of the consecration offerings, or of the bread, remains until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy.34If any of the flesh of the ordination ram or any of the bread is left until morning, you are to burn what is left with fire. Because it's holy, what remains is not to be eaten.
“Thus you shall do to Aaron and his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Seven days you shall consecrate them.35You are to do this for Aaron and his sons, just as I've commanded you. You are to ordain them for seven days,
And you shall offer a bull every day as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it.36and every day you are to offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Offer the sin offering on the altar when you make atonement for it and anoint the altar to consecrate it.
Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it. And the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy.37You are to make atonement for the altar for seven days and consecrate it. It will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy."
“Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs of the first year, day by day continually.38"This is what you are to offer on the altar continually: two one year old lambs each day.
One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight.39"You are to offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,
With the one lamb shall be one-tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of pressed oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering.40and there is to be a tenth measure of choice flour mixed with one fourth of a hin of oil extracted by hand, and one fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering for one lamb.
And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.41You are to offer the other lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning. You are to offer it as a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.
This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.42It is to be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the doorway to the Tent of Meeting in the LORD's presence, where I'll meet with you to speak to you there.
And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory.43I'll meet there with the Israelis, and it is to be consecrated by my glory.
So I will consecrate the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. I will also consecrate both Aaron and his sons to minister to Me as priests.44I'll consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and I'll consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve as my priests.
I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.45I'll live among the Israelis, and I'll be their God.
And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them up out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.46They shall know that I am the LORD their God who brought them out of Egypt so that I may live among them. I am the LORD your God."
