NKJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionInternational Standard Version
1To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Contemplation of David when the Ziphites went and said to Saul, “Is David not hiding with us?” Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your strength.1God, by your name deliver me, and by your power vindicate me.
2Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.2God, listen to my prayer, and pay attention to the words of my mouth.
3For strangers have risen up against me, And oppressors have sought after my life; They have not set God before them. Selah3For the arrogant have arisen against me; oppressors have sought to take my life. They do not keep God in mind! Interlude
4Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life.4Look, God is my helper; the Lord is with those who are guarding my life.
5He will repay my enemies for their evil. Cut them off in Your truth.5He will turn the evil upon those who lie in wait for me. Cut them off with your truth.
6I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O LORD, for it is good.6With a free will offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, LORD, because it is good,
7For He has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.7for he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eyes have seen the end of my enemies.
