Psalm 54
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
1To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Contemplation of David when the Ziphites went and said to Saul, “Is David not hiding with us?” Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your strength.1Come with great power, O God, and rescue me! Defend me with your might.
2Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.2Listen to my prayer, O God. Pay attention to my plea.
3For strangers have risen up against me, And oppressors have sought after my life; They have not set God before them. Selah3For strangers are attacking me; violent people are trying to kill me. They care nothing for God. Interlude
4Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life.4But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!
5He will repay my enemies for their evil. Cut them off in Your truth.5May the evil plans of my enemies be turned against them. Do as you promised and put an end to them.
6I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O LORD, for it is good.6I will sacrifice a voluntary offering to you; I will praise your name, O LORD, for it is good.
7For He has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.7For you have rescued me from my troubles and helped me to triumph over my enemies.
