Psalm 65
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song. Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed.1What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you,
O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.2for you answer our prayers. All of us must come to you.
Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.3Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.
Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.4What joy for those you choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple.
By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;5You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas.
Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power;6You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength.
You who still the noise of the seas, The noise of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.7You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations.
They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.8Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.
You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.9You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.
You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth.10You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.
You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.11You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side.12The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy.
The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.13The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!
