Psalm 75
NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
1We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds.1For the choirmaster: To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A song. We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, for Your Name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.
2God says, “At the time I have planned, I will bring justice against the wicked.2“When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
3When the earth quakes and its people live in turmoil, I am the one who keeps its foundations firm. Interlude3When the earth and all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars. Selah
4“I warned the proud, ‘Stop your boasting!’ I told the wicked, ‘Don’t raise your fists!4I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.
5Don’t raise your fists in defiance at the heavens or speak with such arrogance.’”5Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’ ”
6For no one on earth—from east or west, or even from the wilderness— should raise a defiant fist.6For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert,
7It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.7but it is God who judges; He brings down one and exalts another.
8For the LORD holds a cup in his hand that is full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours out the wine in judgment, and all the wicked must drink it, draining it to the dregs.8For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.
9But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.9But I will proclaim Him forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.
10For God says, “I will break the strength of the wicked, but I will increase the power of the godly.”10“All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”
