Psalm 120
NLT Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationChristian Standard Bible
1I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.
2Rescue me, O LORD, from liars and from all deceitful people.2"LORD, rescue me from lying lips and a deceitful tongue."
3O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment?3What will he give you, and what will he do to you, you deceitful tongue?
4You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals.4A warrior's sharp arrows with burning charcoal!
5How I suffer in far-off Meshech. It pains me to live in distant Kedar.5What misery that I have stayed in Meshech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar!
6I am tired of living among people who hate peace.6I have dwelt too long with those who hate peace.
7I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war!7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
