New Living TranslationHolman Christian Standard Bible
O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!1For the choir director: on stringed instruments. Davidic. God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety,2I call to You from the ends of the earth when my heart is without strength. Lead me to a rock that is high above me,
for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.3for You have been a refuge for me, a strong tower in the face of the enemy.
Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude4I will live in Your tent forever and take refuge under the shelter of Your wings. Selah
For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.5God, You have heard my vows; You have given a heritage to those who fear Your name.
Add many years to the life of the king! May his years span the generations!6Add days to the king's life; may his years span many generations.
May he reign under God’s protection forever. May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.7May he sit enthroned before God forever; appoint faithful love and truth to guard him.
Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day.8Then I will continually sing of Your name, fulfilling my vows day by day.
