New Living TranslationHolman Christian Standard Bible
On the holy mountain stands the city founded by the LORD.1A psalm of the sons of Korah. A song. His foundation is on the holy mountains.
He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other city in Israel.2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
O city of God, what glorious things are said of you! Interlude3Glorious things are said about you, city of God. Selah "
I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me— also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia. They have all become citizens of Jerusalem!4I will mention those who know Me: Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Cush-- each one was born there."
Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.5And it will be said of Zion," This one and that one were born in her." The Most High Himself will establish her.
When the LORD registers the nations, he will say, “They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.” Interlude6When He registers the peoples, the LORD will record," This one was born there." Selah
The people will play flutes and sing, “The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”7Singers and dancers alike will say," My whole source of joy is in you."
