Psalm 87
NLT Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNET Bible
1On the holy mountain stands the city founded by the LORD.1Written by the Korahites; a psalm, a song. The LORD's city is in the holy hills.
2He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other city in Israel.2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
3O city of God, what glorious things are said of you! Interlude3People say wonderful things about you, O city of God. (Selah)
4I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me— also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia. They have all become citizens of Jerusalem!4I mention Rahab and Babylon to my followers. Here are Philistia and Tyre, along with Ethiopia. It is said of them, "This one was born there."
5Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.5But it is said of Zion's residents, "Each one of these was born in her, and the sovereign One makes her secure."
6When the LORD registers the nations, he will say, “They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.” Interlude6The LORD writes in the census book of the nations, "This one was born there." (Selah)
7The people will play flutes and sing, “The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”7As for the singers, as well as the pipers--all of them sing within your walls.
