1Benjamin’s first son was Bela, the second was Ashbel, the third was Aharah,1Benjamin fathered Bela his firstborn, Ashbel his second born, Aharah his third born,

3The sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, Abihud,3Bela's descendants included Addar, Gera, Abihud,

6The sons of Ehud, leaders of the clans living at Geba, were exiled to Manahath.6Ehud's descendants, who were leaders of their ancestral households in Geba and who were taken into exile to Manahath, included:
7Ehud’s sons were Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera. Gera, who led them into exile, was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.7Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera (also known as Heglam), who fathered Uzza and Ahihud.
8After Shaharaim divorced his wives Hushim and Baara, he had children in the land of Moab.8Shaharaim fathered sons in the land of Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara.

28These were the leaders of the ancestral clans; they were listed in their genealogical records, and they all lived in Jerusalem. The Family of Saul28All of these were the leaders of ancestral households, chiefs according to their generations. They lived in Jerusalem.
29Jeiel (the father of Gibeon) lived in the town of Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah,29Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived in Gibeon, and his wife was named Maacah.
30and his oldest son was named Abdon. Jeiel’s other sons were Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,30His firstborn son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,

32and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeam. All these families lived near each other in Jerusalem.32and Mikloth, who fathered Shimeah. Now these also lived with their relatives across town in Jerusalem from their other relatives.
33Ner was the father of Kish. Kish was the father of Saul. Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malkishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.33Ner fathered Kish, Kish fathered Saul, Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchi-shua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
34Jonathan was the father of Merib-baal. Merib-baal was the father of Micah.34Jonathan fathered Merib-baal and Merib-baal fathered Micah.

36Ahaz was the father of Jadah. Jadah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Moza.36Ahaz fathered Jehoaddah and Jehoaddah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri fathered Moza.
37Moza was the father of Binea. Binea was the father of Rephaiah. Rephaiah was the father of Eleasah. Eleasah was the father of Azel.37Moza fathered Binea, and Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
38Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.38Azel had six sons. Their names were Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan—all of these were the sons of Azel.
39Azel’s brother Eshek had three sons: the first was Ulam, the second was Jeush, and the third was Eliphelet.39The sons of his brother Eshek included Ulam his firstborn, Jeush his second, and Eliphelet his third.
40Ulam’s sons were all mighty warriors and expert archers. They had many sons and grandsons—150 in all. All these were descendants of Benjamin.40Ulam's descendants were valiant warriors and archers. They had 150 children and grandchildren, all descendants of Benjamin.
