Ehud got away while they were waiting. He went past the carved stones and escaped to Seirah.

Ehud escaped while they delayed, and passed beyond the sculptured stones, and escaped to Seirah.

But by that time, Ehud had already escaped past the statues. Ehud went to the town of Seirah
