…5And you shall flee to the valley of those mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall be joined even to the next, and you shall flee as you fled from the face of the earthquake in the days of Ozias king of Juda: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with him. 6And it shall come to pass in that day, that there shall be no light, but cold and frost.7And there shall be one day, which is known to the Lord, not day nor night: and in the time of the evening there shall be light:…
But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel:
And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke.
For the stars of heaven, and their brightness shall not display their light: the sun shall be darkened in his rising, and the moon shall not shine with her light.
And the moon shall blush, and the sun shall be ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Sion, and in Jerusalem, and shall be glorified in the sight of his ancients.
I beheld the earth, and lo it was void, and nothing: and the heavens, and there was no light in them.
And I will cover the heavens, when thou shalt be put out, and I will make the stars thereof dark: I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
I will make all the lights of heaven to mourn over thee and I will cause darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord God, when thy wounded shall fall in the midst of the land, saith the Lord God.
And I will shew wonders in heaven; and in earth, blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood: before the great and dreadful day of the Lord doth come.
