Then Jesus and His companions went to Capernaum, and as soon as the Sabbath began, Jesus entered the synagogue and began to teach.

Leaving Nazareth, He went and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
Immediately Jesus called them, and leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, they followed Him.
As soon as Jesus and His companions had left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.

Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: 'Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.'"
Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.
