From the blue, purple, and scarlet material they made finely woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, and they made the holy garments for Aaron, just as the LORD commanded Moses.1From the blue, purple and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary. They also made sacred garments for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Moses.
He made the ephod out of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen. 2They made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
They hammered out gold sheets and cut off threads to work into the blue, purple, and scarlet material and into the fine linen, a work of skillful design. 3They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen--the work of skilled hands.
They made connecting shoulder pieces for the ephod and attached them to its two edges. 4They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened.
The skillfully woven band that was on it was made like it, of one piece with it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen, just as the LORD commanded Moses. 5Its skillfully woven waistband was like it--of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
They prepared the onyx stones, engraved with the names of the sons of Israel like the engraving on a signet, and mounted them in settings of gold filigree. 6They mounted the onyx stones in gold filigree settings and engraved them like a seal with the names of the sons of Israel.
He put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, just as the LORD commanded Moses.7Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.
He made a breast piece, skillfully worked, like the work of the ephod: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen. 8They fashioned the breastpiece--the work of a skilled craftsman. They made it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
They made the breast piece square when folded double: one span in length and one span in width when folded double. 9It was square--a span long and a span wide--and folded double.
They mounted on it four rows of stones. The first row was a row of carnelian, topaz, and emerald; 10Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. The first row was carnelian, chrysolite and beryl;
the second row ruby, sapphire, and crystal; 11the second row was turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald;
the third row jacinth, agate, and amethyst; 12the third row was jacinth, agate and amethyst;
and the fourth row beryl, onyx, and jasper. They were set in gold filigree when they were mounted. 13the fourth row was topaz, onyx and jasper. They were mounted in gold filigree settings.
The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve stones corresponding to their names, with the engraving of a signet, each with the name of one of the twelve tribes.14There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
They made chains of pure gold twisted like cords for the breast piece. 15For the breastpiece they made braided chains of pure gold, like a rope.
They made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings, and they put the two rings on the two edges of the breast piece. 16They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened the rings to two of the corners of the breastpiece.
They put the two gold cords on the two gold rings at the edges of the breast piece, 17They fastened the two gold chains to the rings at the corners of the breastpiece,
and they attached the other two ends of the two cords to the filigree settings, and then attached them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod in front. 18and the other ends of the chains to the two settings, attaching them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front.
They made two gold rings and attached them to the two edges of the breast piece, on the side of it which is toward the inner side of the ephod. 19They made two gold rings and attached them to the other two corners of the breastpiece on the inside edge next to the ephod.
They made two gold rings and attached them in front, on the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, close to the place where it's joined, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod. 20Then they made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod.
They tied the breast piece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord so it would rest on the skillfully woven band of the ephod and so the breast piece would not come loose from the ephod.21They tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, connecting it to the waistband so that the breastpiece would not swing out from the ephod--as the LORD commanded Moses.
He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, entirely of blue. 22They made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth--the work of a weaver--
The opening of the robe was in the middle, like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around the opening so it would not be torn. 23with an opening in the center of the robe like the opening of a collar, and a band around this opening, so that it would not tear.
On the hem of the robe, they placed pomegranates made of blue, purple, and scarlet material and woven linen. 24They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe.
They made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates, on the hem of the robe, all around between the pomegranates. 25And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates.
There was a bell and a pomegranate, then a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe for when the High Priest ministered, just as the LORD commanded Moses.26The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses.
They made tunics for Aaron and his sons, woven from fine linen, 27For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen--the work of a weaver--
the turban of fine linen, decorated head coverings of fine linen, linen undergarments of fine woven linen, 28and the turban of fine linen, the linen caps and the undergarments of finely twisted linen.
and the sash of fine woven linen, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet material, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 29The sash was made of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn--the work of an embroiderer--as the LORD commanded Moses.
They made the medallion for the holy crown of pure gold, and they wrote on it an inscription like the engraving on a seal: "Holy to the LORD." 30They made the plate, the sacred emblem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: holy to the Lord.
They fastened a blue cord to it in order to fasten it on the turban above, as the LORD had commanded Moses.31Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.
All the work on the Tent of Meeting was completed, and the Israelis had crafted it according to everything that the LORD had commanded Moses, as they should have.32So all the work on the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
They brought to Moses the tent, all its furnishings, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, 33Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;
the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of dolphin skins, the curtain,34the covering of ram skins dyed red and the covering of another durable leather and the shielding curtain;
the Ark of the Testimony and its poles, the Mercy Seat, 35the ark of the covenant law with its poles and the atonement cover;
the table and all its utensils, the bread of the presence, 36the table with all its articles and the bread of the Presence;
the lamp stand of pure gold, its lamps (with the lamps in order), its furnishings, its oil for lighting, 37the pure gold lampstand with its row of lamps and all its accessories, and the olive oil for the light;
the altar of gold, anointing oil, aromatic incense, the screen for the doorway to the tent, 38the gold altar, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the entrance to the tent;
the bronze altar and the bronze lattice for it, its poles, all its furnishings, the basin and its base, 39the bronze altar with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;
the hangings for the court, its pillars, its sockets, the screen for the gate of the court, its cords, its pegs, all the furnishings for the service of the tent, for the Tent of Meeting, 40the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; the ropes and tent pegs for the courtyard; all the furnishings for the tabernacle, the tent of meeting;
the woven garments for Aaron the priest for ministering in the Holy Place, and the garments for his sons for serving as priests. 41and the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when serving as priests.
The Israelis had done all the work according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses. 42The Israelites had done all the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Moses blessed them when he saw all the work and that they had completed it. They had done it just as the LORD had commanded.43Moses inspected the work and saw that they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. So Moses blessed them.
