Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.1With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia:
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.2On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have to be made when I come.
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.3Then, when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters of explanation to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.4And if it seems advisable that I should go also, they will go with me.
Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.5But I will come to you after I have gone through Macedonia--for I will be going through Macedonia--
And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.6and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you can send me on my journey, wherever I go.
For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.7For I do not want to see you now in passing, since I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.
But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.8But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.9because a door of great opportunity stands wide open for me, but there are many opponents.
Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.10Now if Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear among you, for he is doing the Lord's work, as I am too.
Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.11So then, let no one treat him with contempt. But send him on his way in peace so that he may come to me. For I am expecting him with the brothers.
As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.12With regard to our brother Apollos: I strongly encouraged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was simply not his intention to come now. He will come when he has the opportunity.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.13Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong.
Let all your things be done with charity.14Everything you do should be done in love.
I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)15Now, brothers and sisters, you know about the household of Stephanus, that as the first converts of Achaia, they devoted themselves to ministry for the saints. I urge you
That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.16also to submit to people like this, and to everyone who cooperates in the work and labors hard.
I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.17I was glad about the arrival of Stephanus, Fortunatus, and Achaicus because they have supplied the fellowship with you that I lacked.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.18For they refreshed my spirit and yours. So then, recognize people like this.
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.19The churches in the province of Asia send greetings to you. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the Lord, with the church that meets in their house.
All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.20All the brothers and sisters send greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.21I, Paul, send this greeting with my own hand.
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.22Let anyone who has no love for the Lord be accursed. Our Lord, come!
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. 24My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus.
