Psalm 25
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.1O LORD, I give my life to you.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.2I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.3No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.4Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.5Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.
Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.6Remember, O LORD, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.7Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.8The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.9He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.10The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.
For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.11For the honor of your name, O LORD, forgive my many, many sins.
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.12Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose.
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.13They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the land.
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.14The LORD is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant.
Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.15My eyes are always on the LORD, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies.
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.16Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.17My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all!
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.18Feel my pain and see my trouble. Forgive all my sins.
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.19See how many enemies I have and how viciously they hate me!
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.20Protect me! Rescue my life from them! Do not let me be disgraced, for in you I take refuge.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.21May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you.
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.22O God, ransom Israel from all its troubles.
