New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
A Psalm of Solomon. Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king's son.1Of Solomon. Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.
May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice.2May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.
Let the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.3May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.
May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor.4May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; may he crush the oppressor.
Let them fear You while the sun endures, And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.5May he endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.
May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth.6May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
In his days may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace till the moon is no more.7In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
May he also rule from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth.8May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
Let the nomads of the desert bow before him, And his enemies lick the dust.9May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.
Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts.10May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.
And let all kings bow down before him, All nations serve him.11May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper.12For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.
He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save.13He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
He will rescue their life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be precious in his sight;14He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.
So may he live, and may the gold of Sheba be given to him; And let them pray for him continually; Let them bless him all day long.15Long may he live! May gold from Sheba be given him. May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.
May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth.16May grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. May the crops flourish like Lebanon and thrive like the grass of the field.
May his name endure forever; May his name increase as long as the sun shines; And let men bless themselves by him; Let all nations call him blessed.17May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.
Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders.18Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen.19Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
