| 1A Psalm of Solomon. Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king's son. | 1Solomonic. God, give Your justice to the king and Your righteousness to the king's son. |
| 2May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice. | 2He will judge Your people with righteousness and Your afflicted ones with justice. |
| 3Let the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. | 3May the mountains bring prosperity to the people and the hills, righteousness. |
| 4May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor. | 4May he vindicate the afflicted among the people, help the poor, and crush the oppressor. |
| 5Let them fear You while the sun endures, And as long as the moon, throughout all generations. | 5May he continue while the sun endures and as long as the moon, throughout all generations. |
| 6May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth. | 6May he be like rain that falls on the cut grass, like spring showers that water the earth. |
| 7In his days may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace till the moon is no more. | 7May the righteous flourish in his days and prosperity abound until the moon is no more. |
| 8May he also rule from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth. | 8May he rule from sea to sea and from the Euphrates to the ends of the earth. |
| 9Let the nomads of the desert bow before him, And his enemies lick the dust. | 9May desert tribes kneel before him and his enemies lick the dust. |
| 10Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts. | 10May the kings of Tarshish and the coasts and islands bring tribute, the kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts. |
| 11And let all kings bow down before him, All nations serve him. | 11Let all kings bow down to him, all nations serve him. |
| 12For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper. | 12For he will rescue the poor who cry out and the afflicted who have no helper. |
| 13He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save. | 13He will have pity on the poor and helpless and save the lives of the poor. |
| 14He will rescue their life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be precious in his sight; | 14He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious in his sight. |
| 15So may he live, and may the gold of Sheba be given to him; And let them pray for him continually; Let them bless him all day long. | 15May he live long! May gold from Sheba be given to him. May prayer be offered for him continually, and may he be blessed all day long. |
| 16May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth. | 16May there be plenty of grain in the land; may it wave on the tops of the mountains. May its crops be like Lebanon. May people flourish in the cities like the grass of the field. |
| 17May his name endure forever; May his name increase as long as the sun shines; And let men bless themselves by him; Let all nations call him blessed. | 17May his name endure forever; as long as the sun shines, may his fame increase. May all nations be blessed by him and call him blessed. |
| 18Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders. | 18May the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonders, be praised. |
| 19And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen. | 19May His glorious name be praised forever; the whole earth is filled with His glory. Amen and amen. |
