On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel,1And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;
and said to Aaron, "Take for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both flawless, and present them before the LORD.2And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
Then tell the Israelites: 'Take a male goat for a sin offering and a calf and lamb, both a year old and flawless, for a burnt offering,3And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;
and an ox and a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with olive oil, for today the LORD is going to appear to you.'"4Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
So they took what Moses had commanded to the front of the Meeting Tent and the whole congregation presented them and stood before the LORD.5And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.
Then Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD may appear to you."6And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.
Moses then said to Aaron, "Approach the altar and make your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement on behalf of yourself and on behalf of the people; and also make the people's offering and make atonement on behalf of them just as the LORD has commanded." 7And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the sin offering calf which was for himself.8Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
Then Aaron's sons presented the blood to him and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar, and the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.9And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
The fat and the kidneys and the protruding lobe of the liver from the sin offering he offered up in smoke on the altar just as the LORD had commanded Moses,10But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.
but the flesh and the hide he completely burned up outside the camp. 11And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.
He then slaughtered the burnt offering, and his sons handed the blood to him and he splashed it against the altar's sides.12And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.
The burnt offering itself they handed to him by its parts, including the head, and he offered them up in smoke on the altar,13And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.
and he washed the entrails and the legs and offered them up in smoke on top of the burnt offering on the altar. 14And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.
Then he presented the people's offering. He took the sin offering male goat which was for the people, slaughtered it, and performed a decontamination rite with it like the first one.15And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
He then presented the burnt offering, and did it according to the standard regulation.16And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.
Next he presented the grain offering, filled his hand with some of it, and offered it up in smoke on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering.17And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.
Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram--the peace offering sacrifices which were for the people--and Aaron's sons handed the blood to him and he splashed it against the altar's sides.18He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,
As for the fat parts from the ox and from the ram (the fatty tail, the fat covering the entrails, the kidneys, and the protruding lobe of the liver),19And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:
they set those on the breasts and he offered the fat parts up in smoke on the altar.20And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:
Finally Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh as a wave offering before the LORD just as Moses had commanded. 21And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.
Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them and descended from making the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering.22And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
Moses and Aaron then entered into the Meeting Tent. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.23And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.
Then fire went out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat parts on the altar, and all the people saw it, so they shouted loudly and fell down with their faces to the ground. 24And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
