New King James VersionNET Bible
“And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the LORD has commanded.”1So Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the LORD has put skill and ability to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary are to do the work according to all that the LORD has commanded."
Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work.2Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the LORD had put skill--everyone whose heart stirred him to volunteer to do the work,
And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.3and they received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to do the work for the service of the sanctuary, and they still continued to bring him a freewill offering each morning.
Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing,4So all the skilled people who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came from the work they were doing
and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do.”5and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than is needed for the completion of the work which the LORD commanded us to do!"
So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing,6Moses instructed them to take his message throughout the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman do any more work for the offering for the sanctuary." So the people were restrained from bringing any more.
for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.7Now the materials were more than enough for them to do all the work.
Then all the gifted artisans among them who worked on the tabernacle made ten curtains woven of fine linen, and of blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim they made them.8All the skilled among those who were doing the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet; they were made with cherubim that were the work of an artistic designer.
The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the curtains were all the same size.9The length of one curtain was forty-two feet, and the width of one curtain was six feet--the same size for each of the curtains.
And he coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another.10He joined five of the curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he joined to one another.
He made loops of blue yarn on the edge of the curtain on the selvedge of one set; likewise he did on the outer edge of the other curtain of the second set.11He made loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in the first set; he did the same along the edge of the end curtain in the second set.
Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain on the end of the second set; the loops held one curtain to another.12He made fifty loops on the first curtain, and he made fifty loops on the end curtain that was in the second set, with the loops opposite one another.
And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains to one another with the clasps, that it might be one tabernacle.13He made fifty gold clasps and joined the curtains together to one another with the clasps, so that the tabernacle was a unit.
He made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains.14He made curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains.
The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains were the same size.15The length of one curtain was forty-five feet, and the width of one curtain was six feet--one size for all eleven curtains.
He coupled five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.16He joined five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.
And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain of the second set.17He made fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set and fifty loops along the edge of the curtain that joined the second set.
He also made fifty bronze clasps to couple the tent together, that it might be one.18He made fifty bronze clasps to join the tent together so that it might be a unit.
Then he made a covering for the tent of ram skins dyed red, and a covering of badger skins above that.19He made a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red and over that a covering of fine leather.
For the tabernacle he made boards of acacia wood, standing upright.20He made the frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood as uprights.
The length of each board was ten cubits, and the width of each board a cubit and a half.21The length of each frame was fifteen feet, the width of each frame was two and a quarter feet,
Each board had two tenons for binding one to another. Thus he made for all the boards of the tabernacle.22with two projections per frame parallel one to another. He made all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.
And he made boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side.23So he made frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side.
Forty sockets of silver he made to go under the twenty boards: two sockets under each of the boards for its two tenons.24He made forty silver bases under the twenty frames--two bases under the first frame for its two projections, and likewise two bases under the next frame for its two projections,
And for the other side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made twenty boards25and for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made twenty frames
and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under each of the boards.26and their forty silver bases, two bases under the first frame and two bases under the next frame.
For the west side of the tabernacle he made six boards.27And for the back of the tabernacle on the west he made six frames.
He also made two boards for the two back corners of the tabernacle.28He made two frames for the corners of the tabernacle on the back.
And they were coupled at the bottom and coupled together at the top by one ring. Thus he made both of them for the two corners.29At the two corners they were doubled at the lower end and finished together at the top in one ring. So he did for both.
So there were eight boards and their sockets—sixteen sockets of silver—two sockets under each of the boards.30So there were eight frames and their silver bases, sixteen bases, two bases under each frame.
And he made bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle,31He made bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle
five bars for the boards on the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle on the far side westward.32and five bars for the frames on the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the tabernacle for the back side on the west.
And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from one end to the other.33He made the middle bar to reach from end to end in the center of the frames.
He overlaid the boards with gold, made their rings of gold to be holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.34He overlaid the frames with gold and made their rings of gold to provide places for the bars, and he overlaid the bars with gold.
And he made a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen; it was worked with an artistic design of cherubim.35He made the special curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen; he made it with cherubim, the work of an artistic designer.
He made for it four pillars of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, with their hooks of gold; and he cast four sockets of silver for them.36He made for it four posts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, with gold hooks, and he cast for them four silver bases.
He also made a screen for the tabernacle door, of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver,37He made a hanging for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer,
and its five pillars with their hooks. And he overlaid their capitals and their rings with gold, but their five sockets were bronze.38and its five posts and their hooks. He overlaid their tops and their bands with gold, but their five bases were bronze.
