Psalm 13
NLT Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationEnglish Standard Version
1O LORD, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way?1How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand?2How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
3Turn and answer me, O LORD my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die.3Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
4Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall.4lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.
5But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.5But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6I will sing to the LORD because he is good to me.6I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.
