5 The goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Some have strayed from these ways and turned aside to empty talk. 7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or that which they so confidently assert. desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions. 8 Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it legitimately. 10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and for anyone else who is averse to sound teaching the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine

Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost <i>sinner</i> Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
