ContextA Prayer for Mercy
Remember, O LORD, what has befallen us;
Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers,
We have become orphans without a father,
We have to pay for our drinking water,
Our pursuers are at our necks;
We have submitted to Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread.
Our fathers sinned, and are no more;
Slaves rule over us;
We get our bread at the risk of our lives
Our skin has become as hot as an oven,
They ravished the women in Zion,
Princes were hung by their hands;
Young men worked at the grinding mill,
Elders are gone from the gate,
The joy of our hearts has ceased;
The crown has fallen from our head;
Because of this our heart is faint,
Because of Mount Zion which lies desolate,
You, O LORD, rule forever;
Why do You forget us forever?
Restore us to You, O LORD, that we may be restored;
Unless You have utterly rejected us

LibraryWhether an Angel Needs Grace in Order to Turn to God?
Objection 1: It would seem that the angel had no need of grace in order to turn to God. For, we have no need of grace for what we can accomplish naturally. But the angel naturally turns to God: because he loves God naturally, as is clear from what has been said (Q, A). Therefore an angel did not need grace in order to turn to God. Objection 2: Further, seemingly we need help only for difficult tasks. Now it was not a difficult task for the angel to turn to God; because there was no obstacle …
