Cross ReferencesExodus 24:12

When the LORD had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.
And when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was unaware that his face had become radiant from speaking with the LORD.

because the Law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.
The Law was given so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more,

All who rely on works of the Law are under a curse. For it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."
Is the Law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Not at all! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the Law.
