So now hear this, O lover of luxury, who sits securely, who says to herself, 'I am, and there is none besides me. I will never be a widow or know the loss of children.'

Rise up, advance against a nation at ease, one that dwells securely, declares the LORD. They have no gates or bars; they live alone.
"Because you rejoice, because you sing in triumph--you who plunder My inheritance--because you frolic like a heifer treading grain and neigh like stallions,
"Son of man, tell the ruler of Tyre that this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Your heart is proud, and you have said, "I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the heart of the sea." Yet you are a man and not a god, though you have regarded your heart as that of a god.
On that day messengers will go out from Me in ships, to frighten Cush out of complacency. Anguish will come upon them on the day of Egypt's doom. For it is indeed coming.
