1A song of ascents. I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from? 1שִׁ֗יר לַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אֶשָּׂ֣א עֵ֭ינַי אֶל־ הֶהָרִ֑ים מֵ֝אַ֗יִן יָבֹ֥א עֶזְרִֽי׃
2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 2עֶ֭זְרִי מֵעִ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
3He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. 3אַל־ יִתֵּ֣ן לַמּ֣וֹט רַגְלֶ֑ךָ אַל־ יָ֝נ֗וּם שֹֽׁמְרֶֽךָ׃
4Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. 4הִנֵּ֣ה לֹֽא־ יָ֭נוּם וְלֹ֣א יִישָׁ֑ן שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗ר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
5The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. 5יְהוָ֥ה שֹׁמְרֶ֑ךָ יְהוָ֥ה צִ֝לְּךָ֗ עַל־ יַ֥ד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃
6The sun will not strike you by day or the moon by night. 6יוֹמָ֗ם הַשֶּׁ֥מֶשׁ לֹֽא־ יַכֶּ֗כָּה וְיָרֵ֥חַ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃
7The LORD will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life. 7יְֽהוָ֗ה יִשְׁמָרְךָ֥ מִכָּל־ רָ֑ע יִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־ נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
8The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever. 8יְֽהוָ֗ה יִשְׁמָר־ צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ מֵֽ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃
