NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
"You must not give a false report. Do not make common cause with the wicked to be a malicious witness. 1"You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.
"You must not follow a crowd in doing evil things; in a lawsuit you must not offer testimony that agrees with a crowd so as to pervert justice,2"You shall not follow the masses in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after a multitude in order to pervert justice;
and you must not show partiality to a poor man in his lawsuit. 3nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his dispute.
"If you encounter your enemy's ox or donkey wandering off, you must by all means return it to him.4"If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey wandering away, you shall surely return it to him.
If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen under its load, you must not ignore him, but be sure to help him with it. 5"If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely release it with him.
"You must not turn away justice for your poor people in their lawsuits.6"You shall not pervert the justice due to your needy brother in his dispute.
Keep your distance from a false charge--do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I will not justify the wicked. 7"Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty.
"You must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and subverts the words of the righteous. 8"You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just.
"You must not oppress a foreigner, since you know the life of a foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. 9"You shall not oppress a stranger, since you yourselves know the feelings of a stranger, for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.
"For six years you are to sow your land and gather in its produce.10"You shall sow your land for six years and gather in its yield,
But in the seventh year you must let it lie fallow and leave it alone so that the poor of your people may eat, and what they leave any animal in the field may eat; you must do likewise with your vineyard and your olive grove.11but on the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the beast of the field may eat. You are to do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you must cease, in order that your ox and your donkey may rest and that your female servant's son and any hired help may refresh themselves. 12"Six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you shall cease from labor so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female slave, as well as your stranger, may refresh themselves.
"Pay attention to do everything I have told you, and do not even mention the names of other gods--do not let them be heard on your lips. 13"Now concerning everything which I have said to you, be on your guard; and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard from your mouth.
"Three times in the year you must make a pilgrim feast to me.14"Three times a year you shall celebrate a feast to Me.
You are to observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days you must eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you, at the appointed time of the month of Abib, for at that time you came out of Egypt. No one may appear before me empty-handed. 15"You shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. And none shall appear before Me empty-handed.
"You are also to observe the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors that you have sown in the field, and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year when you have gathered in your harvest out of the field.16"Also you shall observe the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.
At three times in the year all your males will appear before the Lord GOD. 17"Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
"You must not offer the blood of my sacrifice with bread containing yeast; the fat of my festal sacrifice must not remain until morning.18"You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread; nor is the fat of My feast to remain overnight until morning.
The first of the firstfruits of your soil you must bring to the house of the LORD your God. "You must not cook a young goat in its mother's milk. 19"You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God. "You are not to boil a young goat in the milk of its mother.
"I am going to send an angel before you to protect you as you journey and to bring you into the place that I have prepared.20"Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
Take heed because of him, and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgressions, for my name is in him.21"Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.
But if you diligently obey him and do all that I command, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will be an adversary to your adversaries.22"But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
For my angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I will destroy them completely. 23"For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them.
"You must not bow down to their gods; you must not serve them or do according to their practices. Instead you must completely overthrow them and smash their standing stones to pieces.24"You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their sacred pillars in pieces.
You must serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will remove sickness from your midst.25"But you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
No woman will miscarry her young or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your days. 26"There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
"I will send my terror before you, and I will destroy all the people whom you encounter; I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.27"I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
I will send hornets before you that will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you.28"I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you.
I will not drive them out before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild animals multiply against you.29"I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.
Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you become fruitful and inherit the land.30"I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.
I will set your boundaries from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the River, for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you. 31"I will fix your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you.
"You must make no covenant with them or with their gods.32"You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods.
They must not live in your land, lest they make you sin against me, for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you." 33"They shall not live in your land, because they will make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you."
