New King James VersionEnglish Standard Version
Of the blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the LORD had commanded Moses.1From the blue and purple and scarlet yarns they made finely woven garments, for ministering in the Holy Place. They made the holy garments for Aaron, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen.2He made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen.
And they beat the gold into thin sheets and cut it into threads, to work it in with the blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and the fine linen, into artistic designs.3And they hammered out gold leaf, and he cut it into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet yarns, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design.
They made shoulder straps for it to couple it together; it was coupled together at its two edges.4They made for the ephod attaching shoulder pieces, joined to it at its two edges.
And the intricately woven band of his ephod that was on it was of the same workmanship, woven of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen, as the LORD had commanded Moses.5And the skillfully woven band on it was of one piece with it and made like it, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And they set onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold; they were engraved, as signets are engraved, with the names of the sons of Israel.6They made the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold filigree, and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel.
He put them on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.7And he set them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he made the breastplate, artistically woven like the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen.8He made the breastpiece, in skilled work, in the style of the ephod, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen.
They made the breastplate square by doubling it; a span was its length and a span its width when doubled.9It was square. They made the breastpiece doubled, a span its length and a span its breadth when doubled.
And they set in it four rows of stones: a row with a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald was the first row;10And they set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle was the first row;
the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;11and the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond;
the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;12and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their mountings.13and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold filigree.
There were twelve stones according to the names of the sons of Israel: according to their names, engraved like a signet, each one with its own name according to the twelve tribes.14There were twelve stones with their names according to the names of the sons of Israel. They were like signets, each engraved with its name, for the twelve tribes.
And they made chains for the breastplate at the ends, like braided cords of pure gold.15And they made on the breastpiece twisted chains like cords, of pure gold.
They also made two settings of gold and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.16And they made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two edges of the breastpiece.
And they put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.17And they put the two cords of gold in the two rings at the edges of the breastpiece.
The two ends of the two braided chains they fastened in the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod in the front.18They attached the two ends of the two cords to the two settings of filigree. Thus they attached it in front to the shoulder pieces of the ephod.
And they made two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which was on the inward side of the ephod.19Then they made two rings of gold, and put them at the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inside edge next to the ephod.
They made two other gold rings and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod.20And they made two rings of gold, and attached them in front to the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, at its seam above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
And they bound the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it would be above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate would not come loose from the ephod, as the LORD had commanded Moses.21And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, so that it should lie on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece should not come loose from the ephod, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.22He also made the robe of the ephod woven all of blue,
And there was an opening in the middle of the robe, like the opening in a coat of mail, with a woven binding all around the opening, so that it would not tear.23and the opening of the robe in it was like the opening in a garment, with a binding around the opening, so that it might not tear.
They made on the hem of the robe pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, and of fine woven linen.24On the hem of the robe they made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen.
And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates on the hem of the robe all around between the pomegranates:25They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around the hem of the robe, between the pomegranates—
a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe to minister in, as the LORD had commanded Moses.26a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate around the hem of the robe for ministering, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made tunics, artistically woven of fine linen, for Aaron and his sons,27They also made the coats, woven of fine linen, for Aaron and his sons,
a turban of fine linen, exquisite hats of fine linen, short trousers of fine woven linen,28and the turban of fine linen, and the caps of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of fine twined linen,
and a sash of fine woven linen with blue, purple, and scarlet thread, made by a weaver, as the LORD had commanded Moses.29and the sash of fine twined linen and of blue and purple and scarlet yarns, embroidered with needlework, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Then they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.30They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription, like the engraving of a signet, “Holy to the LORD.”
And they tied to it a blue cord, to fasten it above on the turban, as the LORD had commanded Moses.31And they tied to it a cord of blue to fasten it on the turban above, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished. And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses; so they did.32Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished, and the people of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses; so they did.
And they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;33Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its utensils, its hooks, its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases;
the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of badger skins, and the veil of the covering;34the covering of tanned rams’ skins and goatskins, and the veil of the screen;

and the garments of ministry, to minister in the holy place: the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister as priests.41the finely worked garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for their service as priests.
According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.42According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the people of Israel had done all the work.
Then Moses looked over all the work, and indeed they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, just so they had done it. And Moses blessed them.43And Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, so had they done it. Then Moses blessed them.
