New King James VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
Of the blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the LORD had commanded Moses.1Moreover, from the blue and purple and scarlet material, they made finely woven garments for ministering in the holy place as well as the holy garments which were for Aaron, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen.2He made the ephod of gold, and of blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen.
And they beat the gold into thin sheets and cut it into threads, to work it in with the blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and the fine linen, into artistic designs.3Then they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into threads to be woven in with the blue and the purple and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skillful workman.
They made shoulder straps for it to couple it together; it was coupled together at its two edges.4They made attaching shoulder pieces for the ephod; it was attached at its two upper ends.
And the intricately woven band of his ephod that was on it was of the same workmanship, woven of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen, as the LORD had commanded Moses.5The skillfully woven band which was on it was like its workmanship, of the same material: of gold and of blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And they set onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold; they were engraved, as signets are engraved, with the names of the sons of Israel.6They made the onyx stones, set in gold filigree settings; they were engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel.
He put them on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.7And he placed them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he made the breastplate, artistically woven like the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen.8He made the breastpiece, the work of a skillful workman, like the workmanship of the ephod: of gold and of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen.
They made the breastplate square by doubling it; a span was its length and a span its width when doubled.9It was square; they made the breastpiece folded double, a span long and a span wide when folded double.
And they set in it four rows of stones: a row with a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald was the first row;10And they mounted four rows of stones on it. The first row was a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald;
the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;11and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire and a diamond;
the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;12and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their mountings.13and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigree settings when they were mounted.
There were twelve stones according to the names of the sons of Israel: according to their names, engraved like a signet, each one with its own name according to the twelve tribes.14The stones were corresponding to the names of the sons of Israel; they were twelve, corresponding to their names, engraved with the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes.
And they made chains for the breastplate at the ends, like braided cords of pure gold.15They made on the breastpiece chains like cords, of twisted cordage work in pure gold.
They also made two settings of gold and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.16They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastpiece.
And they put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.17Then they put the two gold cords in the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece.
The two ends of the two braided chains they fastened in the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod in the front.18They put the other two ends of the two cords on the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it.
And they made two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which was on the inward side of the ephod.19They made two gold rings and placed them on the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inner edge which was next to the ephod.
They made two other gold rings and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod.20Furthermore, they made two gold rings and placed them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front of it, close to the place where it joined, above the woven band of the ephod.
And they bound the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it would be above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate would not come loose from the ephod, as the LORD had commanded Moses.21They bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it would be on the woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece would not come loose from the ephod, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.22Then he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue;
And there was an opening in the middle of the robe, like the opening in a coat of mail, with a woven binding all around the opening, so that it would not tear.23and the opening of the robe was at the top in the center, as the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding all around its opening, so that it would not be torn.
They made on the hem of the robe pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, and of fine woven linen.24They made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material and twisted linen on the hem of the robe.
And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates on the hem of the robe all around between the pomegranates:25They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around on the hem of the robe,
a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe to minister in, as the LORD had commanded Moses.26alternating a bell and a pomegranate all around on the hem of the robe for the service, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
They made tunics, artistically woven of fine linen, for Aaron and his sons,27They made the tunics of finely woven linen for Aaron and his sons,
a turban of fine linen, exquisite hats of fine linen, short trousers of fine woven linen,28and the turban of fine linen, and the decorated caps of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twisted linen,
and a sash of fine woven linen with blue, purple, and scarlet thread, made by a weaver, as the LORD had commanded Moses.29and the sash of fine twisted linen, and blue and purple and scarlet material, the work of the weaver, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Then they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.30They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, "Holy to the LORD."
And they tied to it a blue cord, to fasten it above on the turban, as the LORD had commanded Moses.31They fastened a blue cord to it, to fasten it on the turban above, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished. And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses; so they did.32Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed; and the sons of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses; so they did.
And they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;33They brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, and its pillars and its sockets;
the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of badger skins, and the veil of the covering;34and the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of porpoise skins, and the screening veil;
the ark of the Testimony with its poles, and the mercy seat;35the ark of the testimony and its poles and the mercy seat;
the table, all its utensils, and the showbread;36the table, all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence;
the pure gold lampstand with its lamps (the lamps set in order), all its utensils, and the oil for light;37the pure gold lampstand, with its arrangement of lamps and all its utensils, and the oil for the light;
the gold altar, the anointing oil, and the sweet incense; the screen for the tabernacle door;38and the gold altar, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the veil for the doorway of the tent;
the bronze altar, its grate of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils; the laver with its base;39the bronze altar and its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the laver and its stand;
the hangings of the court, its pillars and its sockets, the screen for the court gate, its cords, and its pegs; all the utensils for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting;40the hangings for the court, its pillars and its sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court, its cords and its pegs and all the equipment for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting;
and the garments of ministry, to minister in the holy place: the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister as priests.41the woven garments for ministering in the holy place and the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests.
According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.42So the sons of Israel did all the work according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
Then Moses looked over all the work, and indeed they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, just so they had done it. And Moses blessed them.43And Moses examined all the work and behold, they had done it; just as the LORD had commanded, this they had done. So Moses blessed them.
