Psalm 91
NKJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNET Bible
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.1As for you, the one who lives in the shelter of the sovereign One, and resides in the protective shadow of the mighty king--
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”2I say this about the LORD, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust--
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.3he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter and from the destructive plague.
He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.4He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,5You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.6the plague that comes in the darkness, or the disease that comes at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.7Though a thousand may fall beside you, and a multitude on your right side, it will not reach you.
Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.8Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes--you will see the wicked paid back.
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,9For you have taken refuge in the LORD, my shelter, the sovereign One.
No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;10No harm will overtake you; no illness will come near your home.
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.11For he will order his angels to protect you in all you do.
In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.12They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.13You will subdue a lion and a snake; you will trample underfoot a young lion and a serpent.
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.14The LORD says, "Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.15When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor.
With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”16I will satisfy him with long life, and will let him see my salvation.
