The First Offerings of Aaron

1On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.1On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel,1Now it came about on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;1And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;1On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel.
2He said to Aaron, "Take a bull calf for your sin offering and a ram for your burnt offering, both without defect, and present them before the LORD.2and he said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.2and he said to Aaron, "Take for yourself a calf, a bull, for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defect, and offer them before the LORD.2And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.2He said to Aaron, "Take a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and present them before the LORD.
3Then say to the Israelites: 'Take a male goat for a sin offering, a calf and a lamb--both a year old and without defect--for a burnt offering,3And say to the people of Israel, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old without blemish, for a burnt offering,3"Then to the sons of Israel you shall speak, saying, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both one year old, without defect, for a burnt offering,3And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;3And tell the Israelites: Take a male goat for a sin offering; a calf and a lamb, male yearlings without blemish, for a burnt offering;
4and an ox and a ram for a fellowship offering to sacrifice before the LORD, together with a grain offering mixed with olive oil. For today the LORD will appear to you.'"4and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil, for today the LORD will appear to you.’”4and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil; for today the LORD will appear to you.'"4Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.4an ox and a ram for a fellowship offering to sacrifice before the LORD; and a grain offering mixed with oil. For today the LORD is going to appear to you."

5They took the things Moses commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the entire assembly came near and stood before the LORD.5And they brought what Moses commanded in front of the tent of meeting, and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.5So they took what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole congregation came near and stood before the LORD.5And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.5They brought what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole community came forward and stood before the LORD.
6Then Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the LORD may appear to you."6And Moses said, “This is the thing that the LORD commanded you to do, that the glory of the LORD may appear to you.”6Moses said, "This is the thing which the LORD has commanded you to do, that the glory of the LORD may appear to you."6And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.6Moses said, "This is what the LORD commanded you to do, that the glory of the LORD may appear to you."
7Moses said to Aaron, "Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people; sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded."7Then Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and for the people, and bring the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded.”7Moses then said to Aaron, "Come near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, that you may make atonement for yourself and for the people; then make the offering for the people, that you may make atonement for them, just as the LORD has commanded."7And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.7Then Moses said to Aaron, "Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering; make atonement for yourself and the people. Sacrifice the people's offering and make atonement for them, as the LORD commanded."

The Sin Offering

(Leviticus 6:24-30)

8So Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.8So Aaron drew near to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.8So Aaron came near to the altar and slaughtered the calf of the sin offering which was for himself.8Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.8So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.
9His sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger into the blood and put it on the horns of the altar; the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.9And the sons of Aaron presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.9Aaron's sons presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood and put some on the horns of the altar, and poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.9And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:9Aaron's sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. He poured out the blood at the base of the altar.
10On the altar he burned the fat, the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver from the sin offering, as the LORD commanded Moses;10But the fat and the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver from the sin offering he burned on the altar, as the LORD commanded Moses.10The fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver of the sin offering, he then offered up in smoke on the altar just as the LORD had commanded Moses.10But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.10He burned the fat, the kidneys, and the fatty lobe of the liver from the sin offering on the altar, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
11the flesh and the hide he burned up outside the camp.11The flesh and the skin he burned up with fire outside the camp.11The flesh and the skin, however, he burned with fire outside the camp.11And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.11He burned up the flesh and the hide outside the camp.

The Burnt Offering

(Leviticus 6:8-13)

12Then he slaughtered the burnt offering. His sons handed him the blood, and he splashed it against the sides of the altar.12Then he killed the burnt offering, and Aaron’s sons handed him the blood, and he threw it against the sides of the altar.12Then he slaughtered the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it around on the altar.12And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.12Then he slaughtered the burnt offering. Aaron's sons brought him the blood, and he sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
13They handed him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.13And they handed the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head, and he burned them on the altar.13They handed the burnt offering to him in pieces, with the head, and he offered them up in smoke on the altar.13And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.13They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, along with the head, and he burned them on the altar.
14He washed the internal organs and the legs and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.14And he washed the entrails and the legs and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.14He also washed the entrails and the legs, and offered them up in smoke with the burnt offering on the altar.14And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.14He washed the entrails and the shanks and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.

The Offerings for the People

15Aaron then brought the offering that was for the people. He took the goat for the people's sin offering and slaughtered it and offered it for a sin offering as he did with the first one.15Then he presented the people’s offering and took the goat of the sin offering that was for the people and killed it and offered it as a sin offering, like the first one.15Then he presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and slaughtered it and offered it for sin, like the first.15And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.15Aaron presented the people's offering. He took the male goat for the people's sin offering, slaughtered it, and made a sin offering with it as he did before.
16He brought the burnt offering and offered it in the prescribed way.16And he presented the burnt offering and offered it according to the rule.16He also presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.16And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.16He presented the burnt offering and sacrificed it according to the regulation.
17He also brought the grain offering, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning's burnt offering.17And he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.17Next he presented the grain offering, and filled his hand with some of it and offered it up in smoke on the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.17And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.17Next he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering.
18He slaughtered the ox and the ram as the fellowship offering for the people. His sons handed him the blood, and he splashed it against the sides of the altar.18Then he killed the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings for the people. And Aaron’s sons handed him the blood, and he threw it against the sides of the altar.18Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings which was for the people; and Aaron's sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it around on the altar.18He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,18Finally, he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people's fellowship sacrifice. Aaron's sons brought him the blood, and he sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.

19But the fat portions of the ox and the ram--the fat tail, the layer of fat, the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver--19But the fat pieces of the ox and of the ram, the fat tail and that which covers the entrails and the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver—19As for the portions of fat from the ox and from the ram, the fat tail, and the fat covering, and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver,19And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:19They also brought the fat portions from the ox and the ram--the fat tail, the fat surrounding the entrails, the kidneys, and the fatty lobe of the liver--
20these they laid on the breasts, and then Aaron burned the fat on the altar.20they put the fat pieces on the breasts, and he burned the fat pieces on the altar,20they now placed the portions of fat on the breasts; and he offered them up in smoke on the altar.20And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:20and placed these on the breasts. Aaron burned the fat portions on the altar,
21Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh before the LORD as a wave offering, as Moses commanded.21but the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD, as Moses commanded.21But the breasts and the right thigh Aaron presented as a wave offering before the LORD, just as Moses had commanded.21And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.21but he waved the breasts and the right thigh as a presentation offering before the LORD, as Moses had commanded.
22Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them. And having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship offering, he stepped down.22Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he came down from offering the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings.22Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he stepped down after making the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings.22And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.22Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them. He came down after sacrificing the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the fellowship offering.

Moses and Aaron Bless the People

23Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.23And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.23Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting. 24Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.24And fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.24Then fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.24And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.24Fire came from the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell facedown on the ground.
