2  קֵינָ֥ן (Kenan), מַהֲלַלְאֵ֖ל (Mahalalel), יָֽרֶד׃ (Jared),

3  חֲנ֥וֹךְ (Enoch), מְתוּשֶׁ֖לַח (Methuselah), לָֽמֶךְ׃ (Lamech),

4  נֹ֥חַ (Noah):

שֵׁ֖ם (Shem), חָ֥ם (Ham), וָיָֽפֶת׃ס (and Japheth).

5  בְּנֵ֣י (The sons) יֶ֔פֶת (of Japheth):

גֹּ֣מֶר (Gomer), וּמָג֔וֹג (and Magog), וּמָדַ֖י (and Madai), וְיָוָ֣ן (and Javan), וְתֻבָ֑ל (and Tubal), וּמֶ֖שֶׁךְ (and Meshech), וְתִירָֽס׃ס (and Tiras).

6  וּבְנֵ֖י (And The sons) גֹּ֑מֶר (of Gomer); אַשְׁכֲּנַ֥ז (Ashkenaz), וְדִיפַ֖ת (and Diphath), וְתוֹגַרְמָֽה׃ (and Togarmah).

7  וּבְנֵ֥י (And the sons) יָוָ֖ן (of Javan): אֱלִישָׁ֣ה (Elishah), וְתַרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה (and Tarshish), כִּתִּ֖ים (Kittim), וְרוֹדָנִֽים׃ס (and Rodanim).

8  בְּנֵ֖י (The sons) חָ֑ם (of Ham):

כּ֥וּשׁ (Cush), וּמִצְרַ֖יִם (and Mizraim), פּ֥וּט (Put), וּכְנָֽעַן׃ (and Canaan).

9  וּבְנֵ֣י (And the sons) כ֔וּשׁ (of Cush): סְבָא֙ (Seba), וַחֲוִילָ֔ה (and Havilah), וְסַבְתָּ֥א (and Sabta), וְרַעְמָ֖א (and Raamah), וְסַבְתְּכָ֑א (and Sabteca).

וּבְנֵ֥י (And the sons) רַעְמָ֖א (of Raamah): שְׁבָ֥א (Sheba) וּדְדָֽן׃ס (and Dedan).

10  וְכ֖וּשׁ (And Cush) יָלַ֣ד (begat) אֶת־ (-) נִמְר֑וֹד (Nimrod); ה֣וּא (he) הֵחֵ֔ל (began) לִהְי֥וֹת (to be) גִּבּ֖וֹר (a mighty one) בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ס (on the earth).

11  וּמִצְרַ֡יִם (And Mizraim) יָלַ֞ד (begat) אֶת־ (-) לוּדִיִּים (Ludim), וְאֶת־ (and) עֲנָמִ֛ים (Anamim), וְאֶת־ (and) לְהָבִ֖ים (Lehabim), וְאֶת־ (and) נַפְתֻּחִֽים׃ (Naphtuhim), 12  וְֽאֶת־ (and) פַּתְרֻסִ֞ים (the Pathrusites), וְאֶת־ (and) כַּסְלֻחִ֗ים (the Casluhites) אֲשֶׁ֨ר (from whom) יָצְא֥וּ (came) מִשָּׁ֛ם (out) פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים (the Philistines)), וְאֶת־ (and) כַּפְתֹּרִֽים׃ס (and the Caphtorites).

13  וּכְנַ֗עַן (And Canaan) יָלַ֛ד (begat) אֶת־ (-) צִיד֥וֹן (Sidon) בְּכֹר֖וֹ (his firstborn), וְאֶת־ (and) חֵֽת׃ (Heth), 14  וְאֶת־ (and) הַיְבוּסִי֙ (the Jebusite) וְאֶת־ (and) הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י (the Amorite), וְאֵ֖ת (and) הַגִּרְגָּשִֽׁי׃ (the Girgashite), 15  וְאֶת־ (and) הַחִוִּ֥י (the Hivite), וְאֶת־ (and) הַֽעַרְקִ֖י (the Arkite), וְאֶת־ (and) הַסִּינִֽי׃ (the Sinite), 16  וְאֶת־ (and) הָאַרְוָדִ֥י (the Arvadite), וְאֶת־ (and) הַצְּמָרִ֖י (the Zemarite), וְאֶת־ (and) הַֽחֲמָתִֽי׃ס (the Hamathite).

17  בְּנֵ֣י (The sons) שֵׁ֔ם (of Shem):

עֵילָ֣ם (Elam), וְאַשּׁ֔וּר (and Asshur), וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד (and Arphaxad), וְל֣וּד (and Lud), וַאֲרָ֑ם (and Aram), וְע֥וּץ (and Uz), וְח֖וּל (and Hul), וְגֶ֥תֶר (and Gether), וָמֶֽשֶׁךְ׃ס (and Meshech).

18  וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד (And Arphaxad) יָלַ֣ד (begat) אֶת־ (-) שָׁ֑לַח (Shelah), וְשֶׁ֖לַח (and Shelah) יָלַ֥ד (begat) אֶת־ (-) עֵֽבֶר׃ (Eber).

19  וּלְעֵ֥בֶר (And to Eber) יֻלַּ֖ד (were born) שְׁנֵ֣י (two) בָנִ֑ים (sons). שֵׁ֣ם (The name) הָאֶחָ֞ד (of one) פֶּ֗לֶג (was Peleg), כִּ֤י (for) בְיָמָיו֙ (in his days) נִפְלְגָ֣ה (was divided), הָאָ֔רֶץ (the earth) וְשֵׁ֥ם (and the name) אָחִ֖יו (of his brother) יָקְטָֽן׃ (was Joktan).

20  וְיָקְטָ֣ן (And Joktan) יָלַ֔ד (begat) אֶת־ (-) אַלְמוֹדָ֖ד (Almodad), וְאֶת־ (and) שָׁ֑לֶף (Sheleph), וְאֶת־ (and) חֲצַרְמָ֖וֶת (Hazarmaveth), וְאֶת־ (and) יָֽרַח׃ (Jerah), 21  וְאֶת־ (and) הֲדוֹרָ֥ם (Hadoram), וְאֶת־ (and) אוּזָ֖ל (Uzal), וְאֶת־ (and) דִּקְלָֽה׃ (Diklah), 22  וְאֶת־ (and) עֵיבָ֥ל (Ebal), וְאֶת־ (and) אֲבִימָאֵ֖ל (Abimael), וְאֶת־ (and) שְׁבָֽא׃ (Sheba), 23  וְאֶת־ (and) אוֹפִ֥יר (Ophir), וְאֶת־ (and) חֲוִילָ֖ה (Havilah), וְאֶת־ (and) יוֹבָ֑ב (Jobab). כָּל־ (All) אֵ֖לֶּה (these were) בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) יָקְטָֽן׃ס (of Joktan).

24  שֵׁ֥ם׀ (Shem), אַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד (Arphaxad), שָֽׁלַח׃ (Shelah), 25  עֵ֥בֶר (Eber), פֶּ֖לֶג (Peleg), רְעֽוּ׃ (Reu), 26  שְׂר֥וּג (Serug), נָח֖וֹר (Nahor), תָּֽרַח׃ (Terah), 27  אַבְרָ֖ם (and Abram); ה֥וּא (that is) אַבְרָהָֽם׃ס (Abraham)).

The Descendants of Abraham
(Genesis 25:12–18)

28  בְּנֵי֙ (The sons) אַבְרָהָ֔ם (of Abraham): יִצְחָ֖ק (Isaac) וְיִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃ס (and Ishmael). 29  אֵ֖לֶּה (These are) תֹּלְדוֹתָ֑ם (their genealogies):

בְּכ֤וֹר (The firstborn) יִשְׁמָעֵאל֙ (of Ishmael) נְבָי֔וֹת (Nebaioth), וְקֵדָ֥ר (and Kedar), וְאַדְבְּאֵ֖ל (and Adbeel), וּמִבְשָֽׂם׃ (and Mibsam), 30  מִשְׁמָ֣ע (Mishma), וְדוּמָ֔ה (and Dumah), מַשָּׂ֖א (Massa), חֲדַ֥ד (Hadad), וְתֵימָֽא׃ (and Tema), 31  יְט֥וּר (Jetur), נָפִ֖ישׁ (Naphish), וָקֵ֑דְמָה (and Kedemah). אֵ֥לֶּה (These) הֵ֖ם (were) בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) יִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃ס (of Ishmael).

32  וּבְנֵ֨י (And the sons) קְטוּרָ֜ה (to Keturah) פִּילֶ֣גֶשׁ (concubine) אַבְרָהָ֗ם (of Abraham) יָלְדָ֞ה (born): אֶת־ (-)

זִמְרָ֧ן (Zimran), וְיָקְשָׁ֛ן (and Jokshan), וּמְדָ֥ן (and Medan), וּמִדְיָ֖ן (and Midian), וְיִשְׁבָּ֣ק (and Ishbak), וְשׁ֑וּחַ (and Shuah).

וּבְנֵ֥י (And the sons) יָקְשָׁ֖ן (Jokshan):

שְׁבָ֥א (Sheba), וּדְדָֽן׃ס (and Dedan).

33  וּבְנֵ֣י (And the sons) מִדְיָ֗ן (of Midian):

עֵיפָ֤ה (Ephah), וָעֵ֙פֶר֙ (and Epher), וַחֲנ֔וֹךְ (and Hanoch), וַאֲבִידָ֖ע (and Abidah), וְאֶלְדָּעָ֑ה (and Eldaah).

כָּל־ (All) אֵ֖לֶּה (these were) בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) קְטוּרָֽה׃ס (of Keturah).

34  וַיּ֥וֹלֶד (And he begat) אַבְרָהָ֖ם (Abraham) אֶת־ (-) יִצְחָ֑קס (Isaac). בְּנֵ֣י (The sons) יִצְחָ֔ק (of Isaac):

עֵשָׂ֖ו (Esau) וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס (and Israel).

The Descendants of Esau

35  בְּנֵ֖י (The sons) עֵשָׂ֑ו (of Esau):

אֱלִיפַ֛ז (Eliphaz), רְעוּאֵ֥ל (Reuel), וִיע֖וּשׁ (and Jeush), וְיַעְלָ֥ם (and Jaalam), וְקֹֽרַח׃ס (and Korah).

36  בְּנֵ֖י (And the sons) אֱלִיפָ֑ז (of Eliphaz); תֵּימָ֤ן (Teman), וְאוֹמָר֙ (and Omar), צְפִ֣י (Zephi), וְגַעְתָּ֔ם (and Gatam), קְנַ֖ז (and Kenaz); וְתִמְנָ֥ע (and by Timna), וַעֲמָלֵֽק׃ס (and Amalek).

37  בְּנֵ֖י (The sons) רְעוּאֵ֑ל (of Reuel): נַ֥חַת (Nahath), זֶ֖רַח (Zerah), שַׁמָּ֥ה (Shammah), וּמִזָּֽה׃ס (and Mizzah).

38  וּבְנֵ֣י (And the sons) שֵׂעִ֔יר (of Seir):

לוֹטָ֥ן (Lotan), וְשׁוֹבָ֖ל (and Shobal), וְצִבְע֣וֹן (and Zibeon), וַֽעֲנָ֑ה (and Anah), וְדִישֹׁ֥ן (and Dishon), וְאֵ֖צֶר (and Ezer), וְדִישָֽׁן׃ (and Dishan).

39  וּבְנֵ֥י (And the sons) לוֹטָ֖ן (of Lotan): חֹרִ֣י (Hori), וְהוֹמָ֑ם (and Homam). וַאֲח֥וֹת (And the sister) לוֹטָ֖ן (of Lotan) תִּמְנָֽע׃ס (was Timna).

40  בְּנֵ֣י (The sons) שׁוֹבָ֔ל (of Shobal): עַלְיָ֧ן (Alian), וּמָנַ֛חַת (and Manahath), וְעֵיבָ֖ל (and Ebal), שְׁפִ֣י (Shephi), וְאוֹנָ֑םס (and Onam).

וּבְנֵ֥י (And the sons) צִבְע֖וֹן (of Zibeon): אַיָּ֥ה (Aiah), וַעֲנָֽה׃ (and Anah).

41  בְּנֵ֥י (The sons) עֲנָ֖ה (of Anah): דִּישׁ֑וֹןס (Dishon).

וּבְנֵ֣י (And the sons) דִישׁ֔וֹן (of Dishon): חַמְרָ֥ן (Hamran), וְאֶשְׁבָּ֖ן (and Eshban), וְיִתְרָ֥ן (and Ithran), וּכְרָֽן׃ס (and Cheran).

42  בְּֽנֵי־ (The sons) אֵ֔צֶר (of Ezer): בִּלְהָ֥ן (Bilhan), וְזַעֲוָ֖ן (and Zaavan), יַעֲקָ֑ן (and Jaakan).

בְּנֵ֥י (The sons) דִישׁ֖וֹן (of Dishan): ע֥וּץ (Uz) וַאֲרָֽן׃פ (and Aran).

The Kings of Edom
(Genesis 36:31–43)

43  וְאֵ֣לֶּה (And these were) הַמְּלָכִ֗ים (the kings) אֲשֶׁ֤ר (who) מָלְכוּ֙ (reigned) בְּאֶ֣רֶץ (in the land) אֱד֔וֹם (of Edom) לִפְנֵ֥י (before the face of) מְלָךְ־ (the reigning) מֶ֖לֶךְ (of a king) לִבְנֵ֣י (over the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (of Israel):

בֶּ֚לַע (Bela) בֶּן־ (son) בְּע֔וֹר (of Beor), וְשֵׁ֥ם (and the name) עִיר֖וֹ (of his city) דִּנְהָֽבָה׃ (was Dinhabah).

44  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) בָּ֑לַע (Bela), וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּ֔יו (in his place) יוֹבָ֥ב (Jobab) בֶּן־ (son) זֶ֖רַח (of Zerah) מִבָּצְרָֽה׃ (of Bozrah).

45  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) יוֹבָ֑ב (Jobab), וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּ֔יו (in his place) חוּשָׁ֖ם (Husham) מֵאֶ֥רֶץ (of the land) הַתֵּימָנִֽי׃ (of the Temanite).

46  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) חוּשָׁ֑ם (Husham), וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּ֜יו (in his place) הֲדַ֣ד (Hadad) בֶּן־ (son) בְּדַ֗ד (of Bedad), הַמַּכֶּ֤ה (who struck down) אֶת־ (-) מִדְיָן֙ (Midian) בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה (in the field) מוֹאָ֔ב (of Moab). וְשֵׁ֥ם (And the name) עִיר֖וֹ׃ (of his city) עֲיוֹת׃ (was Avith).

47  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) הֲדָ֑ד (Hadad), וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּ֔יו (in his place) שַׂמְלָ֖ה (Samlah) מִמַּשְׂרֵקָֽה׃ (of Masrekah).

48  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) שַׂמְלָ֑ה (Samlah), וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּ֔יו (in his place) שָׁא֖וּל (Saul) מֵרְחֹב֥וֹת (from Rehoboth) הַנָּהָֽר׃ (of the River).

49  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) שָׁא֑וּל (Saul), וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּ֔יו (in his place) בַּ֥עַל (Baal-) חָנָ֖ן (hanan) בֶּן־ (son) עַכְבּֽוֹר׃ (of Achbor).

50  וַיָּ֙מָת֙ (And died) בַּ֣עַל (Baal-) חָנָ֔ן (hanan), וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ (and reigned) תַּחְתָּיו֙ (in his place) הֲדַ֔ד (Hadad). וְשֵׁ֥ם (And the name) עִיר֖וֹ (of his city) פָּ֑עִי (was Pai), וְשֵׁ֨ם (and the name) אִשְׁתּ֤וֹ (of His wife) מְהֵיטַבְאֵל֙ (was Mehetabel) בַּת־ (daughter) מַטְרֵ֔ד (of Matred), בַּ֖ת (daughter) מֵ֥י (of Me-) זָהָֽב׃ (zahab).

51  וַיָּ֖מָת (And died) הֲדָ֑דס (Hadad).

וַיִּהְיוּ֙ (And were) אַלּוּפֵ֣י (the chiefs) אֱד֔וֹם (of Edom): אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) תִּמְנָ֛ע (Timna), אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) עַלְיָה (Alvah), אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) יְתֵֽת׃ (Jetheth), 52  אַלּ֧וּף (Chief) אָהֳלִיבָמָ֛ה (Oholibamah), אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) אֵלָ֖ה (Elah), אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) פִּינֹֽן׃ (Pinon), 53  אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) קְנַ֛ז (Kenaz), אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) תֵּימָ֖ן (Teman), אַלּ֣וּף (Chief) מִבְצָֽר׃ (Mibzar), 54  אַלּ֥וּף (Chief) מַגְדִּיאֵ֖ל (Magdiel), אַלּ֣וּף (and Chief) עִירָ֑ם (Iram). אֵ֖לֶּה (These) אַלּוּפֵ֥י (were the chiefs) אֱדֽוֹם׃פ (of Edom).
